AVOID AT ALL COST !!!I used to think this was a good company but if your delivery doesn't go right you are in for a nasty shock. I paid for next day delivery and it didn't arrive on the Tuesday as expected. I phoned them Wednesday and they informed me that it would be delivered Friday. I explained that no one will be at that address and that it is very far from me also no one will be there for weeks. I requested that they need to either amend the address or cancel the delivery. They refused and said I must return the item after it has been delivered or refused delivery (not possible) even after speaking to management they continued to deliver it on friday as no one was in to refuse delivery despite two days notice to contact the courier. I purchased the product from a competitor who were fantastic as I had to finish the job for my customer as I am a reputable tradesman with a good reputation by having values that are exactly opposite to wood finishes direct.The contact I had with staff was diabolical and shows a culture of poor practices.Do yourselves a favour and go somewhere else!

Firstly didn't send 2 items ordered then eventually sent wrong one. Returned at cost to me and then told they wouldn't accept return and unless I paid postage again they wouldn't send my item that cost £90 back. 3rd lot of postage paid for by myself to avoid them keeping my purchase!

Ordered product for next day. They use amazon couriers nothing arrives - get a phone call from a driver at 6.30 saying they are outside but its a completely wrong address. they do give me my 2.5£ fee back.2nd day amazon cant delivery - been at my unit all morning.Chris who I spoke to on the phone, refused to let me talk to management, refuses to refund me for goods.shocking customer service not willing to do anything but the bare minimum currently out of pocket and don't have my goods.left with no option but to leave a review on here as I'am powerless. hopefully some one will see this and do the right thing

Really disappointing customer services. Everything was going fine - good delivery, good communications, great product, but then I needed a return as our requirements changed. I spoke to them on the phone and they said it was fine and pointed me to their web returns system. The return request was then confirmed, so I sent it back. I then received an email saying I wasn't eligible for a return, so they had both my product and my money. This is despite having the return confirmed 2 times and speaking to someone.I ended up having to pay extra postage to get my product back, which I will now have to try and sell.Be very wary if you need after-sales support.

Spamming me. Why? I never signed up to anything....Thanks for your response. The issue is that I never wanted emails in the first place and have no idea why I'm suddenly getting them. It's not a case of no-longer wanting them.As a business owner myself I find unsolicited spam mail a major problem.I'm suddenly receiving frequent marketing emails (9 in the last month). Now I have to waste my time to unsubscribe from something I didn't subscribe to.To be fair, I know people who have used Wood Finishes Direct and are very happy with the products and service - so it's a shame to write a critical review.

I've bought a lot of fiddes hard wax oil from them over the last few years. The prices are as good as you will find anywhere but the staff are a level above. I've gone back a few times on the phone and they always help or call back with someone with relevant experience on the line. Great shop, I won't get finishes anywhere else.
