If you love your pet, you'll love this store. Bring your kids they will love looking at the small animals and fish.
Bring your pets. They may not be so keen as the kids because of the dreaded V E T.
There are big ranges of all of the essentials and just about everything else.
If you can't find it in store I recommend getting the app, especially if you like to click and collect. Discounted repeat order subscription service available.

Service is terrible especially recently with continued staffing issues and my dog shivers with fear when he goes close to the building. The lady there refused to groom my dog this time stating there wasn?t enough time when I was still within 15 minutes and was delayed due to traffic. This is after them already pushing back the groom (not for the first time) by 3 weeks, having zero sympathy, humanity or offering any solutions at all with no further dates for 2 months. I had to push hard just to get them to even allow his nails to be done. I understand not being able to start a groom if you can?t finish but I WAS in time according to the website policy wording, and he?s a small cavapoo he?s literally never needed the full time ever. I?ve also not been able to get nail clippings done in the past due to them being back to back, despite it being a supposedly walk in service it?s not bookable by phone and they always say they don?t have space on the day. Everything seems like it?s such a hardship for them to put any effort in beyond the absolute minimum.

Absolutely terrible. Was looking to buy a new hamster after losing our previous one. Went to Ashford store but no male hamsters.Rang Folkestone and was told that they has some so travelled there to see.Was asked very abruptly whether we had a picture of the cage. I couldn't find one at this point. Showed the staff against their cages the rough size and was abruptly told it's not big enough. There couldn't have been much difference in the size but they were adamant. The glass container that they are kept in in the store is way smaller than our cage but this is perfectly fine by all accounts. My partner had a photo on his phone of our cage which again wasn't good enough as far as the staff were concerned. I was absolutely devastated as financially I would struggle to afford another cage at present. The staff appeared not to care despite me crying and being upset. They didn't care and didn't empathise in any way. I will now struggle to have any more hamsters ever if this is the case. Devastated is not the word and the staff could have been more understanding but they obviously wanted to sell me a new cage regardless,maybe for the commission?? Have checked the RSPCA guidelines and the cage we were shown is not as big .....

TWICE WE HAVE BEEN TO PET AT HOME AT FOLKESTONE. THE STAFF IS NO HELPFUL. 2 DIFFERENT STAFF SAYING ONE THINGS TO ANOTHER. MY KIDS ARE SO UPSET ? BECAUSE OF NOT GETTING FISHES. DONT GO TO THEM. BEFORE WE WANTED A RABBITS FROM THEM AGAIN DIFFERENT STORY... SAME THINGS WITH FISHES.

Failed appointment. Not enough time booked for a big dog. Tats were also an excuse. I missed one and the kicker is, it came adrift in the car coming home. A nervous, elderly dog refused the groom. The girl denied she'd been the one to book me in and listed all the things she couldn't do in an hour. My husband and I did book with her. It was mainly for shampooing. I combed her out. I'll never go back and Pets at Home have list me as a customer.

Took our fluffy boy to the Groom Room, and the staff were very patient with him, as he has had a bad experience with groomers in the past. He was well looked after and came back both happy and looking lovely. Highly recommend!

Well just got home after struggling to get there had appointment for me dog to be groomed ,just to get there to find out need a letter from vet ,never heard so much crap in life ,if that's the real reason why was we not informed, awful service rude
