Absolutely shocking. A visit to Folkestone Branch. 5 phone calls later and all I want to do is set up a Standing Order. Still not resolved

The low rating is not aimed at the staff.. but actually Lloyds Bank in general. My partner banks with Lloyds and as he work's all week I go to the bank for him to put money in to cover bills.. mortgage.. etc. However I can no longer pay money in for him over the counter with his card which OK is fair enough.. but I'm paying money in.. not trying to with draw any money. So we ordered a paying in book.. which I was able to use for a few weeks to again pay money in... at top of slip it says paid in by... so I add my name! No can't even do that now!!! I was told I could be money laundering!!!! No I'm simply putting money in to cover bills.. mortgage.. etc which you have proof of if you look into account! So please tell me what the difference is when I go to paying in machine.. put card in put money in... which I can do! Unless machine is out of order! Which it is most of time.. hence why I found out I can no longer pay money in over counter with paying in book.. so now I go to Natwest put money in.. then transfer money over!!! I told the staff at Natwest what happened in Lloyds and they couldn't understand why I can't use paying in book either...

Simply unbelievable that employees here don't know or they are no able to explain (which is even worse!) their own most basic bank's T&Cs and direct you straight away on to one of their 0345 numbers. Sort it out myself at the end using the website...but avoid to go there to ask ANY SIMPLE info.

Ignorant of their own bank's procedures, staff at this branch blame someone else, including their own bank and you, the customer. Other parts of Lloyds, notable specialist managers, are great, well informed and very helpful in making financial decisions, so to is sad to see a good bank marred by lowly jobsworths who think they know it but repeatedly get it wrong and take personal offence rather than learn and get it right. Best to bank on line, or if you need to visit a branch, choose another with staff who value your custom.

Have been banking and visiting this branch for over 10 years and up until recently, never really had a problem. Why is this long faced arrogant and miserable looking woman even allowed to work with the public.?. Three times now we have had dealings with this Sharon Paige, and the whole thing has actually become a joke. We have been asked time and time again to use the machine to deposit cash to save time, which is impossible when working with large amounts. Every note must be crease free before accepted which is why we prefer to wait. Sharon Paige actually asked us to get off the machine so she could get another customer on it first as we had a lot of cash to deposit. On another occasion she also asked us why we had so much cash on us and where it came from. Never a smile or a hello. The final straw was on Wed, Dec 27th 2017. The bank was busy and seriously understaffed (as usual), but guess who the cashier was on this fine day.??..YUP.. Old happy chops.. We actually spoke to other members of the public who have also noticed this rude and unfriendly member of staff and was having a bit of a laugh about it. Our time came to be served and she said nothing apart from looking at us and telling us to just wait there i am busy. While waiting, the wife started to count out her cash ready to deposit when Sharon suddenly looked up and blurted out, do you mind not counting your money in front of me please, cant you count it before you get to the cashier to save time.?. The wife explained that she liked to be sure as she worked a restaurant and mistakes had actually been made in the past, and as you were busy anyway i dont see a problem. Sharon claimed it was policy to refuse to allow the counting of money at the cashier and that it should be done out of her view and before being served, and was very abrupt and rude about it. We then asked to see the manager about this disgusting rude behaviour but was simply told she was busy and would call. After no call was received, we decided to call and to take this matter further as it was totally unacceptable. We finally managed to get hold of a Jennifer Fenkins who was also quiet rude and actually claimed that Sharon Paige was in the right and we were in the wrong. Myself and my wife both work with the public, and if Lloyds consider this normal customer relations then i guess its about time we changed banks. You question our depositing of money and honesty in front of other customers, making us feel like criminals, and then tell us its wrong to count money in a bank.??.. I am personally disgusted by the treatment from this member of staff and by your so called manager Jennifer Fenkins for condoning such horrible behaviour. I would be very interested to hear from other customers who have had the same treatment. Well done Lloyds.. I see a move to the Halifax around the corner..
