Visited last Sunday for a roast Honestly one of the best roasts I have had in recent memory gravy was perfect potatoes were fluffy and crispy and the portions were very fair.

awful experience, came on a sunday a couple weeks ago and ordered a chicken roast dinner, the service took over and hour even tho the pub wasn?t very busy. when the food came out the potatoes were burnt- basically black- the yorkies were tiny and the chicken was very dry considering i paid £15 for it. Additionally the choices on tap were very limited as most of the drinks were out of stock including simple items like coke. the cutlery was unpolished as well as dirty could honestly have a better meal at home from tescos. horrible pub as well as horrible service as we weren?t checked on at all by staff and one of them was even glued to their phone the whole time i was there. would NOT recommend the pub now which is a shame as we liked the previous owners.

Helpful in finding something gluten free that was suitable for me but there is not a gluten free menu.

Our intergenerational family of 9 had a holiday evening meal here last week and it worked out really well.
The play ground behind the pub is a great open space with easy access in and out for the children.
The food was delicious we all ate up everything!
My only comment is, the website menu that we had tried to prepare our order with in advance differed from the food actually available.
Sort this out and you have a really fab place for a family to visit! Thankyou!

Excellent staff, delicious food and homemade, lovely garden that connects to a massive park for children, dogs welcome.... Brilliant little country pub for the whole family.

My wife, her grandparents, my daughter and I went to the Coach and Horses for Sunday lunch whilst we were staying nearby on holiday. The roast was lovely - warm, with plenty of veg and trimmings, and the meat was perfectly cooked. New owners had just taken over and they'd done a great job. Everyone there was also very friendly and even advised us on where we could go fruit picking. Highly recommend.

Went today with my wife and 2 year old child, the service was awful. Waited an hour for food to then be told that the waiter is going to the shops to buy burger buns. Owner or manager was glued to his laptop and not helping out when they are clearly under staffed. Not even joking, one local customer went behind the bar to get his own drink haha, wow.
It?s such ashame because years ago, it was a lovely place to go too. I would avoid going here until they can get their act together and start caring about the business, if not, guess it will be under new ownership very quickly.

I stopped in for a drink whilst stopping locally on holiday. Half the beers on draught were not in stock. Okay place, I'd have expected a better quality place as the only pub in Lyminge.

Cracking little village pub, a warm welcome is guaranteed. Staying in the area and this is our second visit. The food and service is excellent. Speciality nights are often held. Friday fish n chips. Saturday curry night etc. Family friendly and dogs are welcome. Outdoor seating available to enjoy the sunshine.

I visited this pub 3 times and the first 2 were great.Tasty food, big portions and cauliflower cheese. The third time I visited I had a different experience. The portions were significantly smaller, the potatoes were extremely overcooked and hard like stones. I was told that we would get cauliflower cheese with our Sunday roast but we didn't. Ok that's fine maybe someone forgot. I asked for some cauliflower cheese but by they time they brought it out I had finished my meal. Also the cauli cheese looked and tasted quite bad. It just wasn't made properly. I have attached a picture. I inquired if there was a new chef and the server informed me that the pub was under new management. The staff was kind and friendly though. I wouldn't recommend now that the chef has changed but overall an ok experience 3.5/5
