I am surprised by the low score for this company and can only think its a handful of unlucky bad deliveries and the odd faulty item, which happens everywhere. I have been ordering for years for gifts for family and friends children, and haven't had an issue with anything - in fact the opposite - fab choice of wooden toys (I refuse to buy any more plastic), great quality, beautiful wrapping, on time deliveries, I've never had the need to contact customer service, arrange refunds etc so can't comment there, but will continue to get wonderful wooden gifts, thanks Jaques :-)

My Fiancé bought a jigsaw mat from Jacques to save her taking up the entire dining table l. The mat was great. What was also really nice the detail was a thank you card hand signed by the person (Debbie) who had packed it. A very nice touch and an insight into the company culture too. Much better than some companies who just stuff goods in the post and not even a thanks for buying their products

Last week I ordered from this company for the 1st time. . .lovely item, but incomplete. Main problem is that I don't know how to get a response from my query. Phone lines are closed. Emailed immediately it was delivered/unpacked - no automated reply to confirm it's been received and currently no reply. Contact form - wouldn't accept until I'd found tracking number, then when I eventually did, pressed submit & it went back to original page saying nothing as to whether my query had gone through! After care is top priority for me, so with no response, I can only give 2 stars at the moment. Maybe someone can let me know on here how to get a response? It could have been solved very quickly on the phone - it still says phone lines are closed, 5th Jan.

My wife ordered some items from you on the 21st and paid for express delivery to come in time for Christmas, the items arrived on the 28th and were intended as Christmas presents. Now we want to return it and you are charging us to return the items. My wife had contacted your customer services after Christmas stating that we no longer needed these items and to not dispatch them. This isnot the customer service we have experienced from other companies and not what we expected from you. We are getting nowhere with your customer service representative as they aren't being helpful.

I have tried to contact this company regarding returning an item with out success I have phoned and no answer tried to send an e mail which can not be sent I feel this is a scam regarding returns.

The toys are genuinely beautiful and my little girl loved playing with them however after buying a few different sets for her birthday in April, 3 have already broken making 2 of them unusable. The paint also comes off onto her hands on one of the toys and I had to wash them with soapy water before letting her play again. This did stop it but still not ideal for young children?s toys.

Wooden fire engine ordered for my son, wooden lid/roof of the fire engine poorly designed, falls inside the fire engine too easily and then gets stuck. Disappointing.

My twins were bought ?Let?s learn to count? & ?Lets learn early years letters? and both had parts missing. I sent Jaques of London some photos but they would not send us the missing parts without the order number. A shame because apart from the missing parts, the gifts are educational and I would have purchased more for their little friends birthdays.

Long-time loyal customer, but sadly no longer. Jaques' products are generally lovely, but in my experience their customer service if things go wrong or you need help is woeful: slow, illogical and firmly anti-customer.

I bought two items from them on Sunday as part of a Christmas giftThey sent me a message on the 22nd of December that the parcel was delivered, but it was nowhere to be found.I emailed and heard back from a lady named Glenda, she tried to help and provided me with 2 options, to either get a refund or to re deliver. I replied back to her and at that point I received a message that the email couldn't be delivered. I then emailed Jaque's email again and got a response from Google that the recipients inbox is full.I don't even know if my issue will ever be resolved or if the money is gone , but this company is quite frustrating to deal with

First time purchasing from this company and I am delighted with the product and service. Bought the wooden under the sea puzzle boards - they are beautiful and high quality. The whole experience was great - very reasonably priced, kept up to date with parcel tracking. The toy is gorgeous and the hand wrapping was beautiful. Highly recommend
