Just been to Timpsons Biggin st Dover,
went in nobody there, then a woman appears asked if she had expandable watch strap her comment was I need the watch, took watch off and being helpful said there's a lever there and she replied you trying to tell me how to do my job I've been doing this for over 10 years never even asked her to fit it ? So decided to go elsewhere she then shouted out I was only joking, it's not the way to speak to a customer, so we then went to Tesco whitfield Timpsons met Tom very nice helpful gentleman didn't have one in stock gave us details of the size strap I need to order then said any problems come back and I'll fit it for you couple of pounds thank you Tom
may be you could teach the woman down in biggin st how to be happy and polite to people

You'd think Timpson would be good at cutting keys, but I've just had my sixth visit on account of paying £9 for a key that does not work at all. This would be bad enough, but the customer service offered at this store is atrocious. The woman I've had to deal with has the grace and manners of a spoilt toddler.
(Edited to add: I've since found out the woman I dealt with is actually the store's manager, making her attitude even worse.)
After three attempts at fixing the problem, including one entirely new key, she still wanted to keep trying. I'm assuming she views my time as worthless and I can therefore expect me to make endless return trips.
The next thing she blamed was the blank key. Now, on my 4th visit, I was told they didn't have the correct blank and I'd have to wait for a delivery. Meaning that, were she correct, that was two deliveries that were faulty and what does that say about Timpson as a business?
Next she pointed out she didn't make the original key, it was a colleague, thereby attempting to throw that person under the bus. Not only had she worked twice on the original key, she'd also provided me with a new key that was equally as bad. Therefore, by her logic, also making her incompetent.
At that point she tried to blame my original key, the one that's had a 100% success rate since I was given it 15 years ago. Apparently there could be a fault with it. Guess where the key came from? That's right, the Timpson in Dover, meaning they've never been any good.
When I asked for a refund she stomped out of the room like a child who's been told off and I had to call to get her to return.
In summary, based on what I was told by the manager, this is a business that uses poor quality materials and employs people who are unable to do their jobs correctly.
Therefore, there is no reason to ever use this shop in any way, and that's not my opinion, that's based on what I was told by the manager in the shop.

Honestly the kindest and nicest woman I?ve met, so efficient and fixed my car key with ease that needed soldering, I?m so sorry I didn?t get your name but I?ll definitely be returning. I?m over the moon I can now safely get in my car with my dog as I live on a busy street and this woman deserves the world that works there?

The lady who opened the shop today was rude, I came to this shop past 9am and was wondering why the door cant be open even she was inside. Since it was past 9am I assume that it was already opened, I got her attention and asked if it was open but she shouted at me to wait. If there was a sign that is still closed for business I wont bother calling her attention. What a way to start a work with that kind of behaviour. Unhappy lady. Happened today May 30, 2025, AM

THIS IS UNPROFESSIONAL!!!
On Saturday, October 26, I went to the Timpson repair shop for a repairman to change the strap in my Swiss Swatch watch. I had a new strap that I bought online.
Julia was working that day. She took my watch, new strap, and instead of removing the thin pin from the watch lug, she started hitting it with an iron hammer. The watch case is plastic. After being hit with an iron hammer, the plastic lugs of the watch broke off. Julia said that the watch was fragile and recommended throwing it away.
I am a refugee from Ukraine. Bombs explode daily in my city. Thanks to Julia, I don't have a watch.

Julie at Dover Timpsons was amazing. Her customer care was second to none. Julie went above and beyond. Explaining what to do and how to go about what we needed to do. Julie was so kind and caring. Definitely recommend this shop. Thank you Julie.

Avoid, my better place for keys up the road called Safe & Secure. Timpson made me wait 20mins while she was on lunch, then wanted £20.00 for a moped key, I walked up the road to Safe and Secure and they charged £3.95
