I booked my eye test appointment nearly 3 weeks before the actual appointment.The appointment was at 11am.They rang me at 9:20am at the Dover Branch and checked my family history over the phone also confirmed the optometrist as well.Then they called me again at 9:52 saying your appointment has been cancelled and offered me the appointment the following week instead and the testing machine is not working. I think they have shortage of optometrist. They have wasted my time today as I took the day off for this appointment.When I took my children for their eye test they are always running late but one appointment I went one minute late they said we need to reschedule as we missed the slot.

I was not convinced the eye test was completed correctly, I went in with an imbalance between the eyes and what I felt was a small blank spot which appeared occasionally, (I did tell the optometrist all this) and yet the prescription was raised by one point for each eye clearly that imbalance was not addressed, the whole test felt hurried and incomplete, and after every stage I just didn't feel confident, I also had one test after I had seen the optometrist, surely all the tests should have been made first. I'm afraid the new format for the whole operation just doesn't feel accurate enough, and as I can read reasonably well with my existing glasses I felt I was being guided into buying new glasses when I possibly don't yet need them.
However ! I am aware I need glasses that balance my eyes but these tests do not seem to have addressed that, the prescription will only Improved the clarity the imbalance will remain the same , hence one eye will be working harder than the other, this prescription is not what was is needed and is not of the expected standard.

Really poor show. (1) Specsavers cancelled my appointment TWICE because the optician didn't show up for work! In what world is that OK? (2) My son's last test/prescription was SO WRONG we went back 3 times for help, giving up eventually to go to a different nearby optician who nailed it first try! Something needs looking into at the Dover branch...

Visited today after toddler broke my specs, and Micheal was brilliant. Explained everything about my current health situation that may impact eye tests and helped me to get a solution sorted for the broken specs really quickly. Am very grateful! Excellent Customer Service, thanks so much!
