I've been using this salon for many years and find the staff accommodating, friendly and helpful. There's a sign outside to say 'walk-in' appointments available. Reasonably priced and happy to take cash or card payments. They cater for all ages. It's set on a nice Square with other shops including a lovely butchers, newsagents, takeaways as well as their own Tapers Beauty Salon too.

I visited this salon a couple of weeks ago and spoke with a lady about bringing my two year old in for a haircut, she said it?s something they can help us with so we booked an appointment. We turned up to our appointment and was met by a very unfriendly male worker. My little boy was upset and unfortunately wouldn?t sit in the chair so I was trying to calm him down. The man was not very helpful at all, he did not even try to smile to help settle my son. He made us feel very awkward about the situation and told us he is very busy and didn?t have time for us (after us being in the salon less than 5 minutes). I would not recommend this salon for children not a very nice experience at all! I suggest the salon management (perhaps this guy was the manager?!) train staff on how to interact with young children.

Showed a photo requesting a mid mocha brown and they gave me dark chocolate brown literally nothing like I asked for and at least 3 shades darker which doesn?t suit me at all - honestly what?s the point in bringing a photo for reference?!

I?ve been having my hair done at Tapers for a while now and don?t think I?ve ever left a review! After years of having a mobile hairdresser come to my home it was time to get back to a salon! Which was quite nerve wracking, however, I?m always welcomed warmly by all of the team, everyone is always so friendly.Vanessa is my stylist though I?d feel comfortable with any of the staff team. I have my hair coloured, cut and blow dried every 6-8 weeks sometimes it?s a week or two longer (if I can get booked in! The diary is always busy)Vanessa is so attentive and knows how to manage my hair so well!I always walk out feeling AMAZING! Thank you so much!Services: Hairstyling

Lovely relaxed atmosphere, wash, cut and blow dry, came out feeling relaxed and pampered. The only hairdressers I feel confident saying, "cut how you feel it needs to be cut" and knowing it will look good. They always listen to you and talk through your ideas. Highly recommend Tapers.

Went for the first time, had cut and blow dry. Unfortunately was given a really bad hair cut. Very uneven with chunks cut out the back. Honestly don?t understand how it could be that bad! Won?t return.
