I would have preferred to have gone camping. 1 toilet per floor (shared) with a door that didn't lock properly. Shocking shared bathroom. Sub standard room. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone, especially if you have kids at it would be totally unsuitable. The best thing about it is that it's on the beach front but that is about it. Absolute rip off.Noteworthy details: Shared

Stayed here on visit to deal. Centrally located by pier. Old fashioned b&b. But owner has plans to update. The drinks in bar were fine. Had excellent ham egg and chips for evening meal. Very reasonable priced.Ideal for a cheap weekend in deal.Will come back again

About two weeks ago in September my husband and I had booked four nights. On the third night my husband was taken ill. The owner/manager was brilliant. He could not have been more helpful. Called an ambulance and looked after our luggage whilst we were at the hospital a few days. Nothing was too much trouble. We enjoyed our first two nights in our clean, comfortable, and spacious room, with a lovely sea view. Everything to hand on the tea tray. Lovely friendly staff served a good breakfast who made sure we had a table in front of the window to view the sea and the pier. We liked the the hotel very much being quiet. One of the nicest we have stayed in. Agree completely with Anne Jones review four months ago. Throughly recommend. Hope to return sometime, when next in Kent.Rooms: Rooms serviced daily including clean sheets, which are not always done in other establishments.Nearby activities: Plenty of walks and sightseeing within a short distance.Safety: All safety regulations in place nothing my husband could have tripped over in any part of the building. Our ensuite room was spacious and easy to access all amenities.Walkability: The stairs are easy for any able bodied person, and were reasonably easy for my husband who has stiff joints. Central location. Cross the road and you are on the beach. The town centre two minutes walk.Food & drinks: All excellent portions. Well presented, with plenty of choice.Noteworthy details: We were pleasantly surprised at the level of friendliness, assistance and thoughtfulness, we received on arrival and throughout our stay. We thank you Adrian, we could not have managed my husband's illness through the night without your unstinting help.

Small room, small bed, even smaller dated bathroom but the staff were friendly and polite. The hotel is beautifully located right in the centre of the seafront, just across from the pier. Breakfast was freshly made as well as continental available.

Firstly the room had a great view. The downside was the en-suite had a few issues. The shower head was in poor condition with limescale build up and needs renewing. The water also ran down the wall which had limescale in areas. The extractor fan was blocked with dust. The toilet brush was old and looked awful. The window plant box and window ledge had pistachio nut shells amongst them. Plants were in need of watering. Sadly the mattress was a memory foam one and became very hot, so ended up sleeping on top of the duvet. Lastly the vegetarian breakfast option had some poor quality items and only attempted it once.
