“Great place to drop off any items for charity. Welcoming staff who can help off load your car from outside. Register to also add gift aid money on donated items sold.”

“I have recently become a volunteer at my local Sue Ryder charity shop in Deal. A specialist palliative nurse by profession, this charity supports palliative services countrywide. Shop managerJo is passionate about her role, with staff and volunteers alike being both friendly and supportive. In terms of the shop itself, items are reasonably priced, and all proceeds are distributed to a variety of palliative services. A great place to shop and volunteer, which is well supported and respected by the local community.”

“One of the better Oxfam bookshops in the south of England. It is on two floors. There's a large selection of books upstairs including a massive selection for children. Downstairs there are plenty of fiction paperbacks plus some hardback novels and selection of books for small children. Overall the stock is what you find in the standard Oxfam Bookshop: it mixes the fairly mundane with the fairly interesting; unlike many Oxfam bookshops the odd bargain can be had with diligent searching. Worth visiting if you are anywhere near this lovely Kent town.”
