I have recently become a volunteer at my local Sue Ryder charity shop in Deal. A specialist palliative nurse by profession, this charity supports palliative services countrywide. Shop managerJo is passionate about her role, with staff and volunteers alike being both friendly and supportive. In terms of the shop itself, items are reasonably priced, and all proceeds are distributed to a variety of palliative services. A great place to shop and volunteer, which is well supported and respected by the local community.
