The sign says ?natural food, happy people? but I couldn?t have found a more miserable and unfriendly reception this morning. Surly, downbeat and simply too tired to serve. Really disappointing from such a well located and nicely laid out coffee shop. Coffee was?. fine.

I am often disappointed by espresso (most coffee seems to be made to be diluted in milk) but theirs was very good!

A great experience! I was served by two girls, one ginger and blonde. The coffee was incredible, the vegan options were great, the girls were incredible and chatty. Overall a really nice experience.

Numerous times now I have been waiting and ?more regular customers? come in and their order is skipped to the front although mine has been taken. It?s so frustrating, I get it, once or twice these things happen but it?s a regular occurrence. It?s a real shame because your products are outstanding but customer service is poor, there?s no urgency, staff standing around chatting when there is a line of customers. Being local to Deal I hate to talk down a business but when it?s happening again and again something is wrong. New staff needed?

This is a little gem and a great addition to Deal. Coffee is very good here and so is the wide selection of pastries and cakes.
I sat upstairs which has a more peaceful vibe and is very comfortable.
I would definitely revisit if back in the area.

Popped in for a coffee just before closing time. Although starting to clear up, the staff were friendly & chatty & still continuing to make coffee & sell cakes to customers still coming in, quite a few of us too ! Tried the raspberry & white chocolate muffin, probably the best I've ever tasted ! Another table had slices of a cake which they too said were delicious. If you're passing, this place is a must. Wish I lived closer !

We come over to Deal from Ashford and always pay a visit to Hope & Lane. It is the very best coffee ?? in Deal. Staff are always very friendly with a smile when being served.

Best cafe in Deal. Delicious cappuccino and muffins are highly recommended. On the first floor is a bright airy room. We were here every day during our stay.

Good cup of tea, scrummy sausage roll and cake. Only had a snack so not able to rate food fully.
