Such a shame ? I paid for 3 canisters..£15 only to be refused more than 3 sheets of newspaper and a small square of bubble wrap .. I requested a refund .. I couldn?t take them safely home like that ..
My friend and I noticed that he didn?t thank a man who donated a bag of items.. stating he couldn?t leave the 3 bags he had brought, only one was being accepted.. I won?t visit again .. I?ll take my custom elsewhere ? maybe Barnados should send in a secret shopper to gauge a certain male staff member / volunteer responses to customers .. I would suggest they are rude ?

Just attempted to drop off 2 bags and was met with incredible rudeness. I was wearing paint spattered trousers and top because I had nipped out for a break whilst decorating but I can assure you that the donations were good quality clothes. I was looked up and down by the chap that came out and then questioned as to whether my clothes were clean, folded and resellable! He hesitated between each question and at the end I picked up the bags and took them to BHF. His poor attitude meant you missed out on M&S, FatFace and Monsoon items, lots still with labels! Last time to Barbados due just to this one chap.

Incredibly rude when dropping off a donation. Made me feel very uncomfortable in front of a full shop of people. I will never be donating anything to you again and probably won?t come in the shop either.

This used to be my favourite chairty shop in deal, sadly it isn't no more. After, I got into a argument with one of the volunteers. I was also part of a conversation, with some volunteers where they were complaining about managment forcing them to do things they weren't happy with. They sell new plastic bag's, whilst binning the bags that are brought in with donation's. I did make a comment that they could simply sell the bag's that people bring in, instead of adding new plastic. Apparently, barnardo's the charity tell's them off if they do. I also know a homeless person, who goes though the bins of Barnardo's because they chuck £100's of donation's out every week. When I asked a volunteer, if I could give a donation's before they chuck things out. She lied to me saying they never chuck donation's, despite me seeing this myself. As all you have to do is go round the back of Barnabas on a Friday, when they chuck thing's out and I have seen the bin overfilling. Not a friendly chairty and honestly I believe Barnardos is the problem not the Volunteer's. I'am happy to talk about this problem further, as I see the owner has been replying to comment's . I just don't feel comfortable going back into the store after the argument I had with a volunteer
