Potentially Fatal Customer Service! I tried to return a six month old air fryer to the store with an intermittent power fault and was treated like some sort of scamming thief! I had proof of purchase but because they couldn't 'see' the fault they completely refused the return. I contacted customer services by email and they were just as bad, stating they needed to see a 'video' of the fault! Absolutely pathetic and disgusting customer service from a company that likes to think they are better than anyone else! After leaving a review I was contacted again only to be told the exact same thing... they need to see proof of the fault. I'm supposed to stand there physically filming my air fryer hour after hour hoping the intermittent fault of the fryer turning itself off is captured at the time. They also stated that if there was any damage at all to the unit, the warranty would be voided. It's a six month old air fryer, it's hardly going to be perfect! The fryer has now been disposed of. I'm not having a faulty electrical item in my house! Unbelievably disgusting and potentially fatal customer service!!!

I tried to support for years to save High Street vs online, even if it meant paying more. Sadly unable to anymore as totally dishonest regarding returns policy on electrical items. Amazon have a far more honest approach.

What a lovely welcome in store today at Bluewater for International Women's Day we were treated to tastes of chocolate and given free samples of Hendricks Gin and a perfume sample. Best shop ever

After entering the huge Bluewater branch. Both myself and my partner were exceptionally impressed with the level of care and service offered by David Sedgwick (baby section) After spotting us wandering around, he came over, demonstrated a depth of knowledge for their vast range of product's and assisted us in filling our trolley. It left us feeling in full confidence that they would efficiently fulfil all our requirements. We were in and out within 1 hour too. This is the best service I?ve ever experienced within a department store. Hence we?d like to highly recommend him and the store to others. We certainly will be returning.Fran & Theo

For many years I went out of my way to support John Lewis - a great British institution.Since it adopted the virtue-signalling, woke agenda, I have completely flipped and now will never knowingly go near a John Lewis store. Amazon and Zara meet all my retail needs more efficiently and cheaply.Good luck to JL while they go through this self destructive phase

Purchased an American fridge freezer from John Lewis, it arrived faulty. After making several phone calls, being passed from one person to another and being put on hold a dozen times, I?ve still not got a replacement sorted. Thought dealing with John Lewis would have been a lot easier than this. Never again!

Do NOT buy furniture from John Lewis. I bought a sofa from there. After waiting over 13 weeks it was finally ready, delivery was arranged for the start of this week and I had a text to say between 7-9am so over the weekend I got rid of my old sofa and I got up early to receive delivery and it simply never arrived. I stayed in all day waiting for it and then late afternoon I finally got in touch with customer services to see if it was still being delivered that day to which I was told no. No explanation or real apology. I then followed up the next day to find out why and ask for a new delivery date and was told the store would be in touch when they could be. It?s now the end of the week and I?ve still heard nothing. I?ve just been expected to live with no sofa and to hold on goodness knows how long until it?s convenient for someone there to contact me and rearrange delivery. SHOCKING customer service.

We were very disappointed with the service we recieved returning a TV that was only just taken out of the box and put on the wall only to realise that it was far too big for our bedroom, the shop assistants were reluctant in exchanging because of this. The manager was called, opened the box and tested the TV and without any fuss, offered us a refund. We told him we wanted a smaller one and he said to choose one. When we were looking the shop assistant William came along and said "oh no you don't want a smaller one in the bedroom all hotels have big televisisons otherwise you'll be bringing this one back too" . So we chose the one we wanted and went to the till and William started telling us that the company was loosing money because of people like us. We have been shopping with John Lewis for years and we have never had such a bad experience. The reason we shop at John Lewis is becuse of the good customer care and services they provide. William who served us was incredibly arrogant and ruined our shopping experience with John Lewis. We are very disappointed.
