Returned item for refund, with receipt, as purchased. No-one could process the refund. Bhf ended up with a £10.50 purchase price, turning into a donation which was against my wishes. Never again.

I've never written a negative review for anything before, but feel compelled to do so after a terrible experience today.I took 3 boxes of books and dvd's in to BHF Dartford and a man who worked in there (don't know his name, but he was middle-aged with glasses) looked at the boxes and said 'No' in a sarky way, saying they didn't want three boxes. I said 'How many do you want?' and I then got interrogated about the contents- What type of books, fic or non-fic, paperback or hardback etc. in a huffy voice. These are good-quality books too, and he stared at the books inside and went 'Alright, we'll take them as you've brought them in'. His tone was miserable and like I was really putting him out. It wasn't that busy either; it seemed like he just couldn't be bothered. Awful. I should have just taken them to another charity shop. The trouble is, I won't be going in there again for donating or buying. It's a shame because BHF is for a really good cause, plus they've had A LOT of custom from me over the years. Today is the last though.

Went to donate items was met with a very rude huff and a puff from the staff member advised him he didn't have to take them if he didn't wish to , where he then replied well you have bought them now. With charities crying out for funds I cannot believe how rude they were!

The things they sell at this shop are really overpriced like the computers games most of the charity shops that I have been to they sell games there for £1 each

Went to donate two bags full of clothes and other stuff like books and other miscellaneous things, when we got inside the door the bag ripped and stuff went everywhere, they didn?t ask us if we needed any help and just stood there with a disgusted look on their faces. When we finally managed to carry the bags over to the counter, there was no appreciation whatsoever, no thanks. The only thing they said to us was ?we don?t take books? considering they were selling books in the window of the shop.Overall the experience was unpleasant and downright rude. I would not recommend donating to this charity shop as it was horrible

Went here to donate at 15:50, clothes, books and items that were all in very good condition. I choose to donate here as this charity is one I thought highly of and felt would benefit from these donations. Upon entering the shop they were not helpful and looked at me and my partner in disgust as if we were a burden to them. They opened the bags infront of other customers to inspect what we were dontating. This was by the till to and made us feel insulted. There was no thank you or acknowledgement of our donation. In a stern voice the male inspecting the bags told us they do not take books for donation. However there were books in the window and the website stated they do accept books. We then had to search through the bags and remove all books.I felt the staff on shift today were not welcoming or any way good support of this charity and I have lost my respect for this charity due to this as this was not my first donation. I will not be donating again.

I?d give zero stars if poss. DO NOT EVER use British Heart Foundation for collections. I had booked for some furniture & most importantly boxes and bags of stuff to be collected between 8 and 12?clearing my mother?s house as I lost herI arrived 5 mins late for which I apologised. However I had already received a quite rude call at FIVE to 8 complaining I wasn?t there! The guys then inform me they can?t take the bags and boxes of stuff as they weren?t listed on their schedule. They were there but in the wrong place!! They have wasted a month of my time and I am now left having to dispose of them again! I was then told in a very rude way that the furniture was not good enough. ?We only take quality stuff??well I really dispute the fact that they are a charity at all. Surely the sort of people who buy from their stores would prefer a good solid bookcase with a bit of a scratch than none at all! And the chest of drawers they said the bottom drawer was broken. I dispute that! It?s a bit stiff! All in all a rude and unpleasant experience that has left me shaken and upset. I shall make sure I publicise widely that people should not use their services. It?s bad enough losing my mother let alone this!

Very friendly staff and a very helpful experience. Managed to get some bargains on DVD?s and CD?s. Not sure what the other review regarding furniture collections is about, as this shop doesn?t sell or pickup furniture (phoned store regarding a collection in the past and was given contact details to Woolwich furniture branch).

Went from bad to worse. First time of booking furniture collection I took a day off work nobody turned up or called. Phoned several times but nobody answered even left messages. No return call. Emailed them to book another collection, this was confirmed and advised I would be called 30 mins before morning collection. No phone call. Was advised they called me but they hadn't. High quality furniture will go elsewhere now would never bother with this "organisation" again.

Staff are rude; clothes overpriced and poor level customer service for a charity shop. Overall disappointing!

Expensive charity shop, but quality of stock is also higher. Sadly not the largest of stores, so no furniture here, but it is great for secondhand books, toys and clothing. Located on a pedestrian street mean's it isn't the easiest to donate to.
