Came today whilst staying at the premier inn. Table was booked though told by the manager it was not. No problem we sat in the bar for 45 minutes
We wanted to sit in the booth which was empty, it had two dirty plates. We were sat else where which was about cold for me
We moved to the booth and said to the manager could we sit here
We got a stern, ?no gentlemen, the table needs clearing and cleaning and relaying.
I could have cleaned the table and relayed it within two minutes tops. I appreciate how hard staff work, I own a big pub restaurant. But to be told after we said we don?t mind waiting for it to be cleaned, gentlemen can you go back to your table and that in a restaurant you cannot choose where to sit. More than half the restaurant was empty.
So we sat down in our original seats embarrassed and shocked. Customer is not king but you should try to accommodate them. If any of my staff spoke to a customer that way, which they would not, they would be dismissed.
They only had one server I appreciate that, she was lovely and pleasant. But there was another girl who was cleaning and relaying tables. The table we wanted was cleaned and relayed even before our food came out.
The manager really was rude and honestly needs customer service skills to continue to work in this industry

Had the Sunday roast. Very small amount of food on plate.
Beef was cut into bite sizes. And everything spread out to make the plate look full. There was nothing on there that I could say was nice.
To be honest, I would have been better off going to Toby carvery.
Staff were very good thought.

Ate here as we were staying in the premier in for the night, staff were great, dinner was really good and so was the breakfast buffet! It added to our sneaky night away for sure!

First time having breakfast here and all I can say is it was absolutely delicious. The food was lovely and tasted amazing. Although it was a little busy it didn't take long to get your food and where we were sat was lovely. The lady who seated us was lovely and all the staff were friendly. My two children enjoyed the food very much.

I've used this restaurant a lot and have always had a great experience. The staff are friendly and professional. Nothing is too much trouble and they always check if anyone has any food allergies.
Their Sunday lunch is a favourite of mine. Or from the main menu I would recommend any of their steaks, the chargrilled fillet of salmon or the rack of ribs. I haven't tried their burgers yet but fully intend to soon.
Also they have recently added a new side dish: grilled veg with asparagus which is delicious.
As for dessert, I love the Biscoff sundae and the sticky toffee pudding.
Also they have a free car park for diners - just remember to tell them your number plate on arrival.
