Good value for money.Parking: On arrival you need to enter Vehicle Registration Number and time in hours required on tablet at receptionKid-friendliness: Children Menus available and they usually provide Colouring Pencils for Children to use whilst dining.

Me and my husband came to stay at the premier inn hotel. We came down to the restaurant to have a bite to eat the food was amazing one of the best steaks we have had before.but the service was what stood out the most! Mason served us and was very welcoming and polite and for this reason we will be back again next year!Thank you so much

I've recently been diagnosed with an auto-immune condition and have had a very lonely and difficult 3 months, but my best friend and I made a plan to catch up in a way that I can rest, but still celebrate the holidays with her and her son without being too exposed or overdoing it - this restaurant/bar is part of the Premier Inn where I stayed the night and we had a fantastic long lunch here at The Beacon. The food and atmosphere were both excellent and at lunch the lady who seated us very kindly moved us to a more secluded area for my friend's son who has autism. I also returned alone for breakfast the next morning and really enjoyed the variety for the buffet. Both times I was served by a lovely lady called Somerset who had the nicest personality and went above and beyond for me/us, whether it was finding me some decaf tea, or fetching my friend's son some extra fries! It feels like a long time since I was able to do "normal" things or have random human interactions so I really just want to say thanks to Somerset and all the staff here for being so kind and inclusive and accommodating, it really meant the world to me. I am looking forward to coming back!Parking: You can park free for three hours but you must enter your vehicle registration on the tablet when you arrive.

Came here for new years eve dinner and cocktails with my wife as we was staying in the Premierinn attached. Was told couldn't order cocktails because they was out of stock of ice so couldn't order any drinks that need ice. Food came in dirty plates and the milk for my tea also came in a dirty cup with old residue stuck Inside.Staff was friendly and I cam see they try but the management is extreamly poor and everything is over looked. Most the fabric chairs was stained and can see have never had a clean.

Never again.. Been going there for a few years gone right down hill.. And the manager is absolutely vile.. Really unprofessional in everything they do.. Totally unacceptable the only one with any credit is the oldest member of staff who is adorable and attentive. The rest of them are just there for the pay check.. Shocking restaurant never again will I return.. And that manager seriously needs to be replaced she hasn't got a clue

The food was actually really Nice, but when it came to paying the bill came to £68. I said I would pay half the bill on my card (not hard to work out £34)and my colleague I was with paid £40 cash and was to include her tip. When I got back to my hotel room I went on my bank app to find she had put in £39 on the card machine!(I know it's my own fault as I did not check the tap n pay before I did it and at the end of the day is only £5 more)so just be aware that they are doing this

I only recently found the Beacon. I was so impressed by the first visit on 27 October that I returned again on 5 November. This visit was not so successful. I booked a table for 4:30 and we did not get seated until about 45 minutes later. It was busy and there seemed to be a lack of staff available to everything that was required of them. One person was working at the bar so inevitably that makes service slow. I feel this is short sighted of management to run a restaurant on skeleton staff when demand for tables is high.A few things were completely off the menu as they had "sold out" which is always disappointing at 5:00 on a Sunday.I would return again but fear that they are putting service at risk because of cost and a restaurant of this size does need more staff than were available on this Sunday.When we got home we discovered we had been charged for a meal we did not have - it was ordered but out of stock so an alternative was chosen we did not notice until we got home item had not been removed.Restaurant was called several times and duty manager not around, being told to come down in person when I don't actually live close to it is not acceptable customer service. Never every receiving a call back and to date after eventually having a conversation with the manager being told that he would have to check stock to see if the item was actually out of stock. The key in this is that we were charged for 8 meals and there were only 7 of us which speaks for itself. Very disappointed how this was handled and to day 17 days later still not remedied. The overcharge was only £10 but it is the principle of it not the £10.Parking: There is not a huge amount of parking but I managed to park okay.Kid-friendliness: Excellent for children - children's food menu excellent

I really enjoyed my meal at The Beacon last Sunday. Arrived around 12pm and the restaurant was just starting to get busy.We were served in a reasonable time and the food was tasty.The server came over to check everything was ok and it was.Five stars all round, we will be back

Shoddy service constantly having to ask staff for update on meals, everything we wanted to order on the menu was not available even down to the cocktails manager was rude and abrupt staff did not know what was available on the menu for customers to order. I?m fully experience. The cost of our bill was disgusting, £274 wasn?t worth that and in light of that, we never left the service tip

I have had the pleasure of eating at this establishment whilst on a trip away with work. The staff are amazingly friendly and their customer service is excellent. The food that?s on offer is served to a high standard, I stay for a week at a time and I have never had a bad experience and that?s credit to all the staff.

Very slow service and mediocre food.Arrived at 5:30pm and had a two course meal (main and dessert). The meal took 2hrs and it wasn't particularly busy.The food was ok but nothing special.Made a request for no onions or tomatoes on a burger which arrived with... Onions and tomatoes. Asked them to remake and saw the chef use his hands to remove them from the burger - taking all the sauce with it.Wouldn't recommend and wouldn't return here unless I had no choice.Parking: You need to enter reg in to screen when you enter
