Having taken all our drinks orders for a group of walkers, they asked us to leave the premises as some of us had packed lunches. Only one table was in use outside and some of our group were ordering food. It seemed very petty and unnecessary as they weren't in the least busy and they were getting plenty of sales from us.

Called in on spec as M25 was closed and we had driven up from South of France due to flight cancellation. we were starving and although the kitchen had closed they made us very welcome and served up a very acceptable steak n ale pie and chips washed down with Timothy Taylor's. well recommended.

We recently held my husband's wake here. The staff couldn't have been more helpful and friendly. The buffet food was lovely. Thank you for making this difficult occasion easier to organise.
