My first visit to Purdy and Power was really great. Trying a new hairdressers can be a risk but couldn?t be happier with the result and the staff were amazing! My appointment was with Amelia who was amazing and helped revive my hair with a cut and tone. My hair feels so lovely and am so happy with the results. Really professional and friendly salon where things are done to a high standard. I?ve had a regular hair cut here but also extensions by Alanis after a stressful year had made my hair thinner. I was worried it would look really artificial, but Alanis?s colour match was perfect and they look really natural. Really pleased to have found Purdy & Power after moving to the area.

I had the opportunity to have the Purdy and Power experience yesterday. I have thick curly hair, with ?a mind of its own? and Amelia transformed it into a beautiful style. She?s lovely and easy to chat with and knows her stuff. Everyone seemed friendly and felt a very relaxed salon?Definitely a girl?s dream. Thanks again!

I have been to Purdy and Power for the past 10 years at least and they are by far the best in this part of the world. They are always up to date with the latest products, hairstyles and I have to give a special mention to both Alanis and Sarah who are not only extremely talented but also care for their customers' concerns. And Alanis gives the best blow dry and I'm fairly fussy!

I went for an appointment for highlight foils and a cut as a model. I got a lovely reception, and the stylists were really accommodating to what I wanted done.For a reasonable price my hair looked great. Would recommend this salon!

I have been a regulae customer at Purdey and Power for a number of years and I have never had a bad experience. All of the staff are professional, kind and considerate. I noticed tne awful review given just before I was about to write my review, I have decided to expand my review based on what was said about the cancellation policy.I run my own business and also have a 24 hour cancellation policy.I decided to do this because late cancellations effect my finances and have a negative effect on staff and clients. I also use an online booking system so deposits and payments are taken automatically. Therefore reading the awful review and taking it on board, it would be good to ask a few questions.A. Was this client often late cancelling appointments?B. Did this client contact Purdey and Power and explain her terrible situation to the salon in a respectful manner?A 24-hour cancellation policy is crucial for hairdressers and others in the service industry, to effectively manage their time and resources, minimize financial losses, ensure fairness to other clients, and maintain a high level of professionalism.It helps to create a more efficient and reliable operation, benefiting both the hairdresser and their clients.If you have no experience of business practice & lucky enough recieve a regular income ,regardless of any changes in your schedule, this may be difficult for you to grasp the above.However , it?s important that you do because one person can cause a great deal of unjustified damage to a business, and feel satisfied they have done a community service, when in fact all they have done has made themselves feel better.Businesses have to be very careful how they respond to a review like this. Defending themselves becomes a lesson in diplomacy and with client confidentiality being paramout, as much as they would lbe able to explain from their side, the damage from the review has already been done!Don?t hestiate to make an appojntment, lovely, talented people.

I rarely bother to complete online reviews but this time I feel one is deserved , and not in a good way .I needed to re book my latest hair appointment at short notice because my husband had complications with his surgery and ended up spending 3 days in ICU . Although I did call P&P before my original appointment, it was less than 24 hours notice . Despite my telling them of these circumstances and rescheduling the appointment, they decided to charge me £20.00 for making the change ( in addition to the £30.00 I paid for the appointment I attended a few days later )Given the circumstances, that to me is no way to treat a reliable and regular customer, and as a result Purdy &Power will now have one customer less as I will not be going there againPollyanna Edwards

A lovely saloon - very friendly and professional at the same time. I always see a huge age range of customers when I am in there which is testament to their excellent service. Ditto about Stevie as the previous reviewer!
