Neat and tidy shop, but no idea how they work their prices out - tatty old clothes from Adsa/Primark etc for not much less than buying new. Lovely kitchenware, but again, pricey for 2nd hand. Appreciate their overheads are probably going up, but dont feel incentivised to buy and support local. And although most staff are super lovely, I've also witnessed some unacceptable attitude from staff to customers/donators

usually like this shop for a little look around, had an awful and upsetting experience today. a lady came in next to me with a bag of donations and was met with the words ?there?s a sign right in front of your face? when referring to them no longer taking donations (this sign is a small written paper sign in a busy window) and following that, the lady then carried on exclaiming ?are people blind? i wrote a threat on facebook about this?. disgusting attitude to people trying to donate to charity and a rude way to talk to people about it. such a shame

I pop in time to time and today I did just that with my 1 year old daughter. She has a cold and I wiped her nose and she had a little cry, and to my disgust I heard a member of staff say they wanted to throttle my child which is just disgusting safe to say I left straight away and had to bite my tongue. Need to sort your staff out as I know that this aint the first time this woman has said remarks but this one takes the piss

Absolutely ridiculous the manager woman is so rude complaining about customers behind their back after they leave the shop. Treats customers like a piece of dirt. If you are gonna run a shop at least learn some respect for your customers im surprised the shop even gets any.

S my daughter cannot use it . The manager was unpleasant and refused to reduce the £30 price.. she was too argumentative and we left the shop. What a shame , we prefer to be treated fairly as we are spending large sums buying vintage teasets for our daughters business. We visit other charity shops and staff are lovely.

I was astonished when I brought a sewing machine I thought I had a bargain ! Then I took it home to find when the material was in it ,the machine didn't stop ,the people around me was shocked and I was going to take it back the next day as they shut early on Wednesday ! When approached the lady I just said it's the motor as it was running on its own ! She was aggressive and trying to call me a liar ,I even stayed at my son's for ANOTHER day to take it back { I had the receipt but she was so angry with me !I'm disabled and only on benefits , she reluctantly gave me the money back BUT SHE GAVE IT ME ALL IN POUND COINS SO YOU CAN UNDERSTAND WHAT IM TALKING ABOUT 35 POUND COINS OH WOW SO HEAVY {ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTED

Any shopkeeper would be proud to have this shop and I believe it enhances our community especially since it shares part of the forecourt with our Community Fridge/Larder. Packed with quality donations from local people, beautifully organised and manned by the nicest smiliest volunteers. The Hawkhurst Community Hospital has featured in the lives of a number of my relatives and elderly stalwarts of the village and this is a terrific way to support that facility and the wide range of dementia and care resources the shop helps to fund. Never leave without a bargain.

Worst place abusive staff and manager they are forcing people who can't wear a face mask to wear one and I saw someone today get abuse by a male staff and the manager as he was explaining he doesn't need a face mask then the manager started to abuse him farther. It is a terrible place I was going to go in there until I saw them abuse the man

They need to read the government face covering guidelines as its says on the guidelines who can not wear a face mask and the stuff tried forcing me to wear one even tho I am asthmatic and can?t wait one they need to do their research and they should not ask to see it written down look at the official government guidelines

I love visiting The Green Shop when I'm in the area. It's a charming old building with a different selection of goods on each room. I especially like the room at the back full of organised books with a place to have a seat too. Nice selection of kids toys and games.
