Excellent local village newsagents. Friendly, helpful staff and a good range of essentials. Great to be able to shop local and support small businesses. Post office in store which is open long hours.

Nice pleasant shop in a gorgeous location, I was working in Kent, having travelled from Leeds and was on my way back, the woman who served me was lovely and friendly, nicely located on the brow of a hill.

I have shopped here and Burgess Stores for years (both shops are owned by the same man)I find him personally very impolite, he doesn't keep the shops and stock clean, dust on packaging etc I even bought a box of eggs from the newsagents not too long ago which had two silverfish wriggling around in the box, currently in the newsagents he's selling mince pies 2 months out of date and he overcharges for EVERYTHING!Someone really should complain about him.Unfortunately these are the only shops we have around here - for now anyway.

Watch it people, they overcharge you here, (Magnum ice cream, £1.90, Cornetto £1.40), well that's not the £3.79 my other half was charged. Thieving lowlife is all the girl is with short hair and glasses that served her.Keep the 49p, you looked like you need it!
