We had a great experience in the Chatham store today. Store manager Bob took his time to go through a range of kitchen appliances with us to find the perfect items for our kitchen.He was very knowledgeable, answered all our questions and spent time helping us look through the catalog / display items to find the best items for our kitchen.We really appreciated the help / advice given to us as we are currently renovating our first house and learning as we go. We will be returning for Bob?s help and recommending him to friends / family. Thanks again Bob!

Underwhelming store. A little chaotic, there is some signage but overall not very organised. Staff are scarce,disinterested and in my experience not particularly knowledgeable. Not in a rush to go back

Ross and lily and the team are most likely racist and I?ve made a formal complaint about the way I was treated at the store last week. I?m working on a house project and I?ve bought everything from paint to nails to sharp items and more but it?s ID you want for paint remover. I explained to them I did not have physical ID but refused to sale the product to me. Not only that the tone of Ross?s voice completely changed when I challenged him about having a photograph of my ID and explaining the fact that I?m 25 and not 18. I went to Halfords and bought the same paint remover and had no questions asked. The only answer is racism in my opinion. I will not be returning, the store is bad vibes and the workers look like they don?t even want to be there.

So I bought a front door mat at the Maidstone Wickes and needed to return it - this Chatham branch is the nearest one to me so popped in here to face the most miserable guy on the till I have ever seen - Mark! Obviously looking for a reason to say no to the return.Bear in mind this is a £6 product with all tags attached and bought a couple of days ago lol.He then asks manager Carina about it as apparently they don?t stock it here and she says no I have to drive 10 miles back to the other store.I ask to speak to her and she accuses me of being rude for not understanding the difference between the two Wickes stores.Eventually she agrees to take it back but goes off muttering to herself about calling the manager at Maidstone about it!! Issue being that I had asked there about being able to return locally and they had said yes no problem!!Never had such poor customer service in any shop EVER - and for a £6 product!!If senior management at Wickes read this, these two staff are a terrible representation of your company.

Really terrible customer service experience at Wickes Chatham from the Customer Experience Manager, who seemed to wish to actively put us off enquiring about a bathroom design and installation. The only rationale we can conjure up is that she saw us as a young couple and assumed that we are unable to afford a bathroom. Very happy to take our business elsewhere.

Went to Wickes in Chatham yesterday. Excellent customer service from Terry. He loaded up my trolley and even helped me load it all in the car. You rarely get service like that these days. Thank you ?

For a DIY-er this is the shop you can find everything as long as you go and get it yourself. Reason for only 4 stars is that they are not that good with deliveries.

Poor customer serviceBought 2 broken items and received only 20% discount. Staff at till really with an attitude and ready set up for arguments. I was in a rush so I'd rather pay but keep thinking how bad experience

We have used Wickes in Chatham for years, we used to live within walking distance but now we live a bit further away. They have always helped with advice and also have a lot of 'How To' leaflets and project info.

Needed to buy some steel rods (Chatham store) . The rods were in stock but, I did not realise until getting to the checkout that they were covered in thick black grease. I asked the till assistant if they had anything with which to wipe my hands. Looking in his immediate area he said "No". The rods were a metre in length and as I was using public transport, I was worried about staining someone or something with grease. I asked if the assistant had any paper or similar to cover the rods, answer "no!". I realise not everything bought from a DIY shop is going to be clean, but come on Wickes, where is the customer service? I bought some wipes on the way back home and cleaned up as not to spread the grease. Wickes can you honestly say that you had absolutely nothing to help me? Not even the option to wash my hands.
