Absolutely amazing food and service. Cannot fault the team or the food in any way. We had Beef Brisket - it was tender, succulent and full of flavour; the veg were done to perfection. The service team were perfectly attentive, friendly and helpful, even including a fresh trainee and advising him while we were served we were made to feel special and important among all the other guests. Fantastic experience - have recommended to our friends and would definitely go again!

A delightful 3 star hotel. Staff very helpful . Room a good size and clean. We had the BBMeal option. Food was great. We'll presented and tasty. Great location for visiting Cantetbury . We'll recommended

my daughter got married here last may and was due to go back for a family meal to celebrate her anniversary, but obvousily got cancelled due to covid 19, so returned today.We all had Sunday lunch which was just delicious, first meal out for a long while and was just what was needed, sat outside, the grounds still look beautiful and staff and hygiene was fantastic, so will definitely be recommended to every one to try lunch , well done again howfield manor, thankyou

The breakfasts were very good and the experience of the meals was good. The restaurant is in a old chapel which added to the experience. We chose the steak for our evening meal, mine was fine but my wifes was a little fatty, a fair bit had to be left. The waiter gave us a cheese board to which there was no cost, to compensate.

We booked this venue on the understanding that there would be a cosy atmosphere with a log fire and decorations. However, we were the only people in the restaurant, minimal decorations and no log fire. We chose our food from the Christmas menue, we all had starters which were satisfactory, followed by 2 beef and 2 turkey meals, the roast potatoes had been reheated and were hard, along with watery vegetables and barely warm. We ordered the drinks package of 2 red and 2 white bottles of wine. We ended up with 3 bottles only and the 4th one vanished. Very disappointed with the venue and wont be rushing back in a hurry

Decent food, good selection, the staff were excellent. I loved the small bar at the back with the chess set. I think the furniture could do with some work as it doesn't quite fit the surroundings.Overall very good. Thanks for having us.

Lovely menu with plenty of variety, the Veal Wellington was delicious. We liked the fact that the menu is a set price. Both the hotel and restaurant are good value for money.
