Not the easiest place to get to if you?re not a fan of country roads. Feels like forever to get there. But it was so worth it! And the food was 11/10! I had to rush off but can?t wait to visit again and spend the whole evening there. What a beautiful pub!

Great service and fantastic food. Not a large menu but a very good choice to suit everyone. We can't fault the quality of the food or the presentation. We were served by a very chirpy guy who was very attentive without being too eager. Certainly going again. Best birthday meal I've had for sure.

Food & drinks: Stayed one night in camper-van in field with EHU. Marianne and team could not be friendlier. Food was stunning, way above your normal gastro pub level. Got to see the rooms and they look exceptional aswell. Will be back

We stayed in our campervan overnight in the pubs camping field this past very wet weekend. After setting up we went off for a walk exploring the paths and lanes that surround this very quiet and rural location. When we got back the open fire was roaring away and the drinks tasted better.Dinner was up there with the best I've had. A long way from pub grub but served and tasting more like city fine dining without the price tag.I need to emphasise, the food is amazing. The staff and owners (and regulars who joined us to watch the rugby on our iPad) were friendly and the whole afternoon lovely despite the weather. This will now be a regular overnight getaway in our calendar.

After a long journey I arrived at the Plough inn and was greeted warmly and with smiles all round. Very friendly staff and they were all happy and very relaxed and friendly. What a lovely country pub with a real fire and genuine people. My room was absolutely fantastic , it was more like a flat than a room and had everything I needed. The menu was superb and the food was exquisite. An absolute Gem with gorgeous views and fabulous food ?.. all set in a beautiful location. Will definitely be visiting again . A big thank you to everyone at The Plough Inn for making my stay so memorable.

My husband and I spent a wonderful weekend at the Plough Inn. Is a perfect getaway! Luckily, some of their rooms are dog friendly so we took our dog Teddy.Room is super well thought out. It has everything you need, really well furnished and spotless clean. We had breakfast brought to the room in the morning and it was perfect. Marianne was a superb host!Thank you much for making our stay so comfortable and Pleasent.Food & drinks: We had dinner at the pub and the food was delicious. I had the fried chicken with tangy chili glaze for starter and for the main I had the sea bream with mussel chowder from their specials menu. Sooo good! We had the chocolate mousse for dessert and it was divine!

Easily the best pub in Kent for a Sunday lunch. Very traditional building with open fires, excellent range of beers and spirits - think Goachers & Chapel Down.Menu caters for a range of tastes and think just the "right" level of fine dining given the setting - e.g. a Sunday roast with plenty of trimmings, but equally the appearance of the odd jus or similar, so traditional with a contemporary twist.Only catch is the location is a little rural, meaning you'll need to have a plan for after the Chapel Down... Plenty of nice countryside in the immediate vicinity to combine with a walk.

I recommend going to this place for a lovely Sunday roast! I had the chicken that was moist and had a beautifully crisp skin. Special mention to the red cabbage which tasted delicious. For a starter we had the baked Mont d?Or cheese on the recommendation of the waiter over the baked Camembert, and it tasted really nice. No room for dessert, but the options looked good. Service was brilliant as well.

Perfection from the moment I booked a last minute weekend break. Called in the morning and everything was sorted by the time we arrived a few hours later - a quick glass of wine in front of the beautiful fire before being taken to our room (dog I tow as dog friendly is an understatement) and wow what a surprise a beautiful duplex room stunningly presented and furnished with all the little extras I had asked for. Then dinner - well once again wow we had one of the best meals I have had - the venison was to die for, but leave room for the sticky toffee pudding as that was to die for and all served by the most friendly attentive staff and special mention to the guy with the husky. Just when we thought our meal and room were outstanding the wonderful Marianne arrived in the morning with the most amazing breakfast, beautifully presented and goes without saying as tasty as you can imagine. What a gem of a place and can?t wait to return - thank you all at The Plough
