Very budget. Good points: clean rooms, staff friendly and helpful, location excellent, good breakfast. Room for improvement: no bath mat, no tooth mugs, after 30min only paid for WiFi. Apart from breakfast, bar/restaurant closed during our stay due to staff issues. Would stay again due to location and good staff.

We were impressed with the place. Easy to find the room. Nice shower. Bed comfy. Price reasonable. We went to a party and it had someone there when we came back!
Restaurant was ok for breakfast. Would have preferred fried egg but it was well stocked for a mixture of breakfasts.

Stayed 3 nights for short break in Canterbury , Kent. Friendly, helpful staff, just across the road, 5 mins walk, from city centre. Looked it had just been renovated/refitted, very clean, tidy & comfortable. Limited parking available, works out around £7 per 24hrs, not bad for a city centre. Only downside for some maybe lack of a lift in the hotel. Probably the best Travelodge I have stayed in. Lovely older building.

Room bit dated but very clean. Good bed! (Bathroom could do with a small window for steam from shower.) Very good prize for what you get & for the location!

I'm currently two nights into my four-night stay, and so far, it's been fantastic. The team here is incredibly friendly and welcoming. I've also been dining in, and the meals have been a solid 10/10. Huge shoutout to the Travelodge team at Canterbury Chaucer Central!

room was fit for purpose. good location for Canterbury town and Cathedral. We had the breakfast which was OK but just as easy to walk into town and got to a cafe. There's a weatherspoons just around the corner which is much more value for money.

Room was clean but extremely basic. Tv had limited Freeview channels. Have to pay for wifi. No bedside tables, toiletries or clothes storage apart from a few fixed coat hangers. Bed linen was heavy and rough, extra pillows would have been nice. Minimal tea/coffee etc. £3.45 for a small can of pepsi in the bar, unacceptable. Bar staff non-existant for ages even after ringing bell twice. Kept curtains shut due to terrible view of heating/extraction system. Would've booked ground floor room if it had been an option due to partners back problem. Wasnt aware we'd have to climb a million stairs with suitcases to get to our room. Reception check in guy had an attitude, fair play to check out guy who was lovely and friendly. Wouldn't recommend. Will look elsewhere next year. Booked for convenience of where we needed to go

I had a very disappointing experience due to the incredibly rude and unprofessional behavior of the staff. From the moment I arrived, it was clear that customer service was not a priority. They acted like they didn?t want to be there, barely acknowledged me, and responded with attitude when I asked simple questions.
There was no courtesy, no willingness to help, and no sense of professionalism. It felt like I was being treated as an inconvenience rather than a valued customer. Frankly, the atmosphere was uncomfortable and disrespectful.
I expected a much higher standard of service. Management clearly needs to step in and train the staff on basic respect and professionalism. I won?t be returning, and I strongly advise others to think twice before doing business here.

I usually don?t leave negative reviews, but my recent experience was unacceptable. The staff were rude, unhelpful, and acted like they were being bothered any time a question was asked. There was zero professionalism, and I was treated with complete disregard.
Even worse, the management clearly doesn?t care. When I asked to speak to someone in charge, I was met with excuses and no resolution. It felt like they were more interested in brushing off complaints than actually fixing anything.
If this is how they treat customers, I can only imagine how things run behind the scenes. Definitely not coming back, and I wouldn?t recommend this place to anyone looking for even basic customer service.

Had a lovely room but unfortunately couldn?t get much sleep during the night as it sounded like they were doing maintenance work at 3am onwards non stop banging that my friends could hear from the other side of the hotel in there room as well wouldn?t recommend if you actually want to sleep
