Visited for sunday lunch. Food was lovely really well cooked and large portions. Wish I hadn't had a starter as I couldn't manage dessert 😁
Really well decorated and the staff were lovely and friendly.
Only criticism was that no potato salad was available so they swapped it for roast potatoes without telling us.

Never been here before. What a treat. Gorgeous tucked away pub serving excellent, fresh and quality produce. Lovely, friendly waiting staff. Really quirky door handle mechanisms on the toilet and looks like original flagstone floor inside. Will return.

Lovely old skool vibe, log fire with extremely friendly staff, the food is all home cooked amd taste amazing, I have never had a bad word to say about the place and I have been visiting about 15 years.

We held my mums 85th here. The staff were so helpful and friendly. The food was delicious 😋 The atmosphere was fantastic so relaxed warm and inviting. We had a fabulous time.

We had a wonderful meal, super tasty starters and main courses, quality ingredients and cooked beautifully. We didn't have room for pudding unfortunately, but we will be back. An amazing country pub, with exceptional, attentive service. Wonderful atmosphere, a real find! Thank you

We stumbled across The Rising Sun when we were out for a drive and were impressed with the friendliness of the staff and the pub itself so we decided we would go back another time and have lunch. We decided to go on a Sunday for my husband's Birthday. We were greeted on arrival by cheerful bar staff and as we were early we sat and had a drink first. The pub is lovely inside and the fairly lights adorning the walls looked absolutely beautiful and added to the cosiness of the pub. We all ordered the roast beef. It was cooked to absolute perfection. There were plenty of potatoes and vegetables and we ordered a side of cauliflower and broccoli cheese, which was also lovely. I had the baileys creme brulee for dessert which was to die for!! We all left vowing to return again.

Our Wedding at The Rising Sun ? Simply Perfect!
We had our wedding at The Rising Sun at the beginning of the month, and it was absolutely perfect ? better than we ever imagined!
From our very first enquiry, Emma was incredible. She instantly understood our vision and helped bring it all to life with thoughtful suggestions that made everything come together seamlessly. The week before the wedding, we dropped everything off at the venue and Emma took care of it all ? we didn?t have to stress about a thing and were able to stay calm and enjoy the lead-up to the big day.
On the day itself, the entire team were amazing ? professional, friendly, and so attentive. The food was delicious, and everything ran so smoothly thanks to their hard work behind the scenes.
If you're considering The Rising Sun for your wedding, don?t hesitate ? you truly won?t regret it! Thank you so much to Emma and the whole team for making our day so special. We?ll never forget it.
