Unfortunately the beer we had (coppernob) was off, probably bottom of the barrel but it was undrinkable, it was changed for something out of a bottle but unfortunately damage was done at this point

Definitely a local atmosphere. Wonderful pizza - real crust and authentic toppings. Live music night - the musician was really earning his beers!

Wandered into the pub because it was close to our hotel when we were on vacation. Owner and his son were both really friendly and made us feel at home. Pizza was awesome - Neapolitan and made with smoked cheese. Yum!! Beer was good also, and there was live music the night we were there. If we lived in the area, we?d be there often.

Lovely little pub. The owners are great and quiz night on Wednesday is great fun. Sadly the pub cat has recently gone over the rainbow bridge, and is much missed

A few years ago when i lived in Canterbury with an ex i unfortunately had found out i was being cheated on and i was going to either have to find somewhere quick or go back to Ireland. While in my miserable state, barely eating, not sleeping much and pissed at the world i came here for a pint. Not only did the pint help calm my nerves there was a cat and i spent half my day asking the owners for life advice. They cheered me up (the cat helped) they gave me some potato's they just made which i thought was rather humorous but the moral of the story is i never forgot such kindness and that i can never thank them enough for.

This is an old fashioned city pub. The ales change weekly. Live music on a Friday. Quiz nights and more. The food is brilliant. Fantastic pizzas at the weekend. Honestly the pizzas are fantastic. The Sunday lunch is amazing. Friendly staff make you feel welcome. What?s not to like!

Lovely pub with friendly management. The proprietor is a great conversationalist with extensive knowledge of culture and history. He made me feel welcome as a guest.
