Awful experience rooms extremely dated and staff are abysmal. Left a very sentimental piece of jewellery over the Christmas period have been told it?s been posted numerous times and the have just stolen it. The manager and guy from Afghanistan both promised it would be sorted and still hasn?t don?t stay!

Terrible breakfast, all the hot stuff dried out and rock hard. I think you have to order the toast made to order but we barely saw any staff, and those that we did see kept rushing in and out of the room. The rooms are spacious, but the shower hot water pressure is a dribble. The beds are uncomfortable with lumpy pillows.

The room was tastefully furnished, spotlessly clean, and warm! The view was of some beautiful trees in a secluded garden, and the whole hotel had a very calm and peaceful atmosphere. Looking forward to returning!

For the price point, this place was great! The room we had (room 3) was spacious with a canopy bed + a single bed. There were a lot of spider webs + spiders in the bathroom, so that knocked it down for me a bit. Otherwise, for that price you can't beat it.The full English breakfast buffet included with the room was excellent too.

Beds were comfortable and good location, however no information given at check in as there wasn't enough for all guests, no hot water at all (disappointing!), good parking space available, didn't feel very safe in it over night, so didn't sleep well.Rooms: Average sized rooms, dresser not needed in double room as just cluttered up the room.Nearby activities: Easy short walk into down, gradual uphill to get back from town.Safety: Didn't feel very safe, door shook in the wind, felt like anyone could get in.

The Ebury Hotel is a really odd place. Out of date. Dirty bedroom, with a lot of dust. The tray with kettle and cups, which was stuck on a dirty paper. Uncomfortable mattress and pillows. Bath with mould, any good ?bang product? could clear that. Although a kind staffs.

An absolutely charming English hotel. Very quiet with lovely rooms. The breakfast was very good, full English and also continental breakfast. Very nice welcome by arrival. The hotel is located at about 800 metres from the centre.

Hotel is a good budget option. Very clean, large room. Large bathroom. Nice cotton bedding. Lovely garden at the back and on-site parking. 10 min walk into Canterbury City centre. Some rooms are dog friendly. Good breakfast in a light, bright dining room. Very good value.

The rooms were very clean and well furnished. The kitchen overall was well equipped. The service a little slow. The location of the hotel is not central, but you can reach the center in 15 minutes on foot.

From the outside this hotel does not stand out, which is part of its charm. We had a pleasant night here, the room was comfortable with a good view of the extensive gardens. The staff are very helpful, and efficient. The hotel has a slightly odd layout, obviously a result of merging several houses sometime in it's past. This is definitely not a hotel for those with mobility issues, as all rooms are accessed by at least one flight of stairs (though there are apartments separate from the actual hotel that are disabled accessible). All room bookings include breakfast, which is excellent.Nearby activities: This well located for accessing Canterbury city centre, the cathedral, the castle (currently closed to visitors due to structural issues).Walkability: The hotel is within reasonable walking distance of the city centre. This would make a good base to access the historical sites of Canterbury.
