Absolute joke, went to pay with a lady that couldnt even see properly card declined. Thought cant be right because i have money in my bank. I then inserted my card, which not authorized.(Even tried my other card) She was like you need to go get cash, basically shooing me away grabbing onto my drink?. Like i have the money for my £1 drink, fix your machines and attitude??.

Closing 23rd July and hope the former woolworths unit gets modernised and split up. Could do with a larger superdrug in Canterbury and or savers. Expensive and reputation for accusing innocent people of stealing. They had been sued for it as well.

I got accused of stealing from this shop when I was only 12 years old and this red head old woman screamed at me telling me she?s was going to get the boss and arrest me. Bear in mind I was an innocent tiny blonde girl and crying infront of them in my school uniform. Still remember until this day ? also I?ve never stolen in my life so thank you Poundland lmao

I went into Poundland in Canterbury city centre today and I was horrified at one of members of staff named Kyle totally rude young man and has zero manners
I mistakenly went in the wrong end to tills and was told very abruptly that I can?t just come in that end whenever I want as there is an end to a queue the way he spoke to me was disgusting and will not be tolerated by me
Then I went to where the queue was meant to be one man there still looking on one of shelves for something and no one else there another man was walking along to the queue, still this rude man wouldn?t have any of it and insisted on serving this man first so I let him go and several others that came along after him just to let this imbicile realise I wasn?t bothered about his stupidity
He knew I was going to have words with him so as soon as I got to till he legged it and someone else served me so I asked her to speak to manager about this man?s lack of manners
Seems to me that especially in this shop the manager has to train this man properly and have zero tolerance to lack of manners from his or her staff
I do understand that the public can be rude to staff sometimes but I am not one of these people and give respect to everyone but also expect it in return but unfortunately I don?t feel this individual even knows how to respect anyone
And given I have read other reviews on this particular Poundland shop I?m not the first person to receive bad manners and bad service
This store needs to be re- evaluated by head office

I went into Poundland today to be turned away from service because of this staffs ego. I have noticed many times, he makes comments to customers instead of helping out and this isn?t my first time I have encountered him. I had tried to get the bag off the hooks but it did not come off so I yanked it instead of walking over there to avoid any inconvenience for myself. I went to the area to scan the bag and his comments started. They are comments that don?t need to be said. He could see I was struggling to scan the bag but instead he opened his mouth to irritate us and told us to get out and never come back when he instigated this first? He has no manners and said I was rude.
On top of this, he always used to come to KFC, where I had worked, our managers had to watch the CCTV and make sure he was not around to talk to the younger staffs (16/17) as he kept harassing them even after knowing their age. Every time he came in, the younger staffs would feel threatened and would have to be moved to the back until he?s gone.
This staff worked Friday 21st, he was there until the end of shift 19:30. He looks of Indian Origin, short, muscular and has beard. He usually works at the front with body cam.
You can take it or leave it with this information but I have had enough of this man there.

I like Poundland. Lovely selection of just about everything. Could do with a larger selection of mens clothing though.

They have incense sticks in 3 "flavours" as they are called. Can't find another high street shop that sells them. They have a much better range of items now, at good prices.

Very good bargains and very reasonable ? ? prices but they sell out of stuff very quickly that's why you have to get in quickly

Went to the self checkout. Items needed to be approved and Alfie rudely barged though me and my friend twice with no manners only just an excuse me nor did he wait for us to move out the way.
