The best place we've eaten at in our week in Cantebury. They had a great menu with some really delicious options. A nice range of beers and a great atmosphere.

We were a large party of 30 having lunch and needed to be 'done' in just over 1 hour. We could not have asked for better service from Sydney (I think her name was) and those who helped her; friendly, attentive, efficient and perfectly understanding how to manage and serve with minimum disruption. I hope the management appreciate such good staff. Everything was ready when we arrived and the staff were prepared. We had a nice space at the back which worked very well. Thank you for looking after us so well!

Service was terrible, blonde haired girl behind bar was miserable and rude. And put our plates down with attitude. Food was good and girl with black hair was very polite which turned it around

The food was average. Steak sandwich with too much gristle and over cooked chicken on the chicken and chorizo salad.

Came in for a few drinks with friends and the staff were soo lovely Sidney rose and Sydney were all so helpful recommending drinks and food for when we are thinking of coming back would definitely recommend to everyone to come here as it?s so friendly and welcoming

Came in today for pre drinks for the silent disco at the cathedral, we were served by a lovely group of ladies, found out their names were Sidney Sydney, issy, carine and rose. (Sorry if I?ve spelt any of the names wrong)
The service was fantastic. We didn?t get a chance to order any food but it all looked and smelled amazing!

Visited today and was disappointed with the service. A woman in a peach top was serving and unfortunately came across as miserable and quite rude to customers, which really affected the atmosphere. A shame, as the pub itself has potential.

Went tonight for a low key night out. We had a fantastic night. The Old Buttermarket was absolutely lovely. We were served by Rose and Sydney who provided absolutely incredible service, they were both friendly, helpful, and kind. Rose recommended the Chardonnay which was a great suggestion, it was very nice (Not too sweet, not dry - a perfect balance). The atmosphere was very welcoming. I would highly recommend visiting The Old Buttermarket

Rose and Carine were absolutely lovely! Will 100% be back. The food is amazing and the wide range of beers is just outstanding! Couldn?t ask for more from a pub!
