The men?s clothing section: there?s one man in his 50s or 60s managing the whole floor. He looks miserable and isn?t very approachable. Considering there are loads of young people looking for work, I think it?s time he gave it up.

I called in yesterday and visited the men?s toilets.
They were absolutely appalling,
The 2 urinals were barricaded off one of the 2 lavatories was shut,
There was also no hand wash at all.

I am writing to formally express my disappointment with the service I received at your Canterbury store during my recent visit on Wednesday, 06 August 2025 at approximately 4:00 PM.
During this visit, I purchased a selection of food items, including ?M&S Made Without Wheat ? 4 Vegetable Samosas (Gluten Free)?, as shown in the attached picture. Shortly after making the purchase, while I was still inside the store, I realized that this product clearly states ?Needs Cooking? on the packaging and is not ready to eat as I initially believed.
When I immediately returned to the counter to request a refund or exchange, the staff, including the store manager, refused to process my request solely because I did not have a printed receipt. This decision was made despite the fact that the transaction details were clearly available in your system. As you know, during the purchase process, customers are encouraged not to print receipts for environmental reasons, an option I selected in good faith. Unfortunately, this policy was ignored when I needed assistance.
As a long-time loyal customer of Marks & Spencer, I found this experience both frustrating and disappointing. Such treatment is not what I expect from a brand that prides itself on customer care and sustainability.
I kindly ask that you review this incident and take appropriate measures to ensure that other customers do not face the same unhelpful and dismissive service. This experience has certainly made me reconsider my future shopping choices with M&S.
I look forward to your prompt response and resolution of this matter.

Very disappointed with the cafe. Paper cup and paper plates, rather than proper crockery. It felt like a roadside takeaway.
Only temporary due to dishwasher problems, what a relief. Backbone normal 5 star service and food.
