I closed my account with this bank years ago because of bad service and asked for everything to be transferred to my new bank. Since then the have consistently written telling nme how the small amount they failed to transfer is doing. I have rung them numerous times asking them to stop pestering but they have taken no notice. Since then my wife has died and they now insist on writing to her despite me contacting them and asking them to stop. This is truly the worst most insensitive bank I have ever dealt with. How can I get something done

Ms. Ola Kalu is a wonderful ambassador for your company. We personally witnessed her kindness and gentle assistance to an elderly customer. She then graciously assisted these two American tourists with their British currency questions and conversions. Thank you for providing such a high standard of customer service to even non-member visitors!

If you're an international student at the University of Kent, don?t waste your time with endless red tape at other UK banks. I went around Canterbury, popping into several banks with all the documents issued by the university. Despite this, I faced frustrating questions at every turn. One bank asked for a council tax exemption letter from the council itself, which Kent University had already provided, while another told me to ditch my Swedish phone number and get a UK one to use their banking facilities. To top it off, one bank even suggested I return in four weeks!
Then, I stumbled upon HSBC, and my experience took a complete 180. The staff were incredibly helpful and eager to assist. Within 45 minutes, I had my bank account opened with no hassle whatsoever. The service was unparalleled compared to other banks.

Appalling customer service. The branch has been closed for refurbishment for 4 weeks. I needed to do a transaction in a branch with counter service (not possible by internet and telephone banking on my son?s account) and the nearest alternative is the Folkestone branch. I have now closed the account. Avoid this branch!

I've never had any issues with staff at this branch always very helpful banked here since mid 70s when it was Midland ! I've not gone anywhere else !
