Extremely high standard, variety of subjects and superb conditions, and preservation of all the books. The staff is lovely, helpful and very skilled. It is one of the best bookshops of the area.

Hidden gem of a bookstore. Full of rarities and vintage titles. You?ll find something unexpected for sure. Fascinating place, I expect it would be difficult to find many of these books in other places.

I bought a book online from Sydney, Australia and the staff at The Chaucer Bookshop were helpful and prompt over email communication. They sent photos to ensure I had seen the book before I purchased it and organised fast international shipping. An epic secondhand bookstore. Virtually impossible to leave empty handed. They don't have everything but then again who can have everything? It's well curated and very well run with beautifully presented second hand books.The only slight thing is the books are marginally on the expensive side. Marginally. Very helpful + friendly staff too. I'd love to work here. Will always come back when in Canterbury

Beautiful book shop at the heart of Canterbury town. Amazing collection by renowned English authors and poets including Chaucer. There are cute postcards too painted by local artists. Gorgeous store...you must visit if you're at Canterbury
