Beautiful setting, but be warned after a gorgeous day on the beach and then getting ready to come out, sitting and having drinks with our daughter and our dog, we went to order food and they said the kitchen was too backed up so they weren?t taking orders. We are staying next door for just one night, had already had 2 drinks so couldn?t drive elsewhere, nowhere else is nearby to get food, it was 8pm so late to be going other places, a cab was not an option with the dog and if it was a place to take him to eat could be tricky, so we were left with no way of getting food easily and without a massive inconvenience and unnecessary costs. We are only staying one night and had our hearts set on this all day. Our daughter was in tears and hungry! What an awful end to our lovely day, my husband has only managed to get one days holiday for the whole of the summer break so a huge disappointment. There wasn?t even an apology or any empathy/understanding that our choices were almost non existent! Avoid at all costs!

Nice little bar. Food a bit expensive but it's on the sea front. £10 for a club sandwich, no trimmings, but it was very nice. Nice pint of Spitfire

Quite a good meal 7 of us , sadly food only luke warm chef not really on it chips went back as all of it should have , but when your hungy and had to wait .

The venue is great, and the staff are extremely friendly. Our visit on a Sunday we were only looking for a didn?t and a small bite and had seen on their menu they did sandwiches. We were informed they did not do this on weekends, so the next bed thing was a Caesar salad with chicken. This took 40 mins to arrive which meant we ended up spending longer here than we anticipated.
Food is quite pricey, but still good value for what you get. The portions were good.
We did return later for a drink and was severed immediately at the bar.
Service score reduced purely for the delay, which seemed a lot for a salad. That said the staff were helpful and friendly beyond this.

Ask for an allergy list as my youngsters is anaphylactic to some food groups and the staff member didn't know anything at all.

Booked for a birthday meal at 5pm , got there to be told only 4 items left on the menu 2 were vegetarian, apparently been busy & sold out but looking at the reviews this is a regular thing , maybe stock up more!! ended up at the smugglers & wow got us booked in last minute & couldn't of wished for better food & service so turned out good in the end , we're not at all local but the taxi man said we'd definitely be better off going smugglers says it all !
Beautiful location but looks like it's getting run down , such a shame as reviews from a year ago looked decent

Highly recommend the grilled seabass, beautiful succulent fish. All the food was brilliantly presented, hot and fresh. Good selection of starters, sharers and mains. Great views, being right on the beach, family friendly and dogs welcome at outside tables.
The only thing to fault on is there was a bit of a wait for the food, but it seems if you are just having 'fish n chips' this will come quicker than some of the other items, as other diners received these quickly in comparison. But well worth the wait.
