Me and my husband ordered the ploughman?s and I must say it?s one of the best we have ever had! Highly recommend this little treasure of a pub, service was good and staff very polite and attentive

What a beautiful old pub! Beautifully decorated with twinkly lights, candles and hops hanging from the numerous beams. The lady at the bar was very smiley, friendly and helpful which was so nice on a very miserable winters day! Pizzas were deep and generously topped - met friends there for a catchup and were made welcome. Ladies loos spotless and beautifully decorated - always a good sign! ???

Fed up with weather and circumstances that come with life, we decided to go for Sunday lunch. We had been to Red Lion about 4 years ago and our route passed it Sunday. Even not with a booking did not deter the ' Team' at Red Lion. Our roast beef and pork was simply gorgeous. On hearing that this establishment has been in new hands for several months, John n I wish you all the best and success. We will be back. That' a promise, next visit we will book. Xc

Found this pub by chance and was presently surprised. Lovely food, friendly staff and lots of seating. Lovely atmosphere and really nice decor.

My mother in law booked a table for a Sunday and was assured we could order from the full menu, on arrival the land lady told us it was roasts only as it is Sunday, we explained the situation but were given no apology and told again it?s roasts only and we were told wrong on our last visit, not willing to accommodate at all. Very poor experience unfortunately

I visited a few weeks ago and to say I was appalled by the attitude of some of the staff is an understatement!! I was in the bar area about to order a drink when I overheard a member of staff making comments on another staff members appearance and arms in a disgusting matter, I tried to believe I didn?t just hear this or that it could of been a misunderstanding on my behalf however when the young girl returned to the bar area she was clearly distressed and had changed outfits! As someone who has worked in hospitality for many years now, during busy and stressful times you rely on your team and coworkers for support, and there is clearly no respect or understanding for one another in this pub! I am beyond disappointed and disgusted by this experience and I hope the women that felt comfortable saying these harsh words will learn how to be kind to others from this experience, you never know what goes on in other people?s lives and it?s no one place to comment in such a nasty matter about personal matters. It?s safe to say I won?t be returning or recommending this pub to anyone in the local area as there is no knowing if this could happen to one of your guests who have just come in to enjoy there evening! To the young girl who was visibly upset by this situation, I hope you are okay and remember your worth as this doesn?t deserve to happen to anyone.

Cosy pub , very welcoming and lovely atmosphere, great music too. Food unbelievable, this was my mother's words and she is extremely fussy. Thank you we had a wonderful time and shall look forward to visiting again.

Had a charcuterie platter for two, it consisted of 10 small slices of poor quality salami, a few small stuffed peppers out of a jar, a few olives and some olive bread and that was it!! I had expected a selection of meats and trimmings but no. Friends had a cheese platter that was much better!!

We loved how the pub has changed. They have put a lot of time,money and effort into it. It's clean, beautifully decorated. Made such a difference to the village.
We haven't eaten there but we have heard good reviews about the food.
The trouble is the Landlady never smiles or greets you.
She is so miserable.
We think we have seen her husband who is just as sullen. It's such a shame as the pub is lovely. The village doesn't want to loose it.
