Really nice looking 14th century building. Looks quaint on the inside too. Service good but atmosphere was a bit dead. Filled with a local crowd but not the most interesting. A pint was about £5.50. Beer garden out the back looked ok. Few TVs for sport.

Came for a last minute Sunday lunch, absolutely delicious, the food came out piping hot, beautiful crispy potatoes, and got a free pudding! A proper traditional pub roast

Welcoming clean and reasonable pricing. Might get a bit bigger footfall if adding some major beers to the tariff but still worth a visit as it is.

Food smelt lovely, but we only stopped for a drink. Convenient location at the top of the high street. Very welcoming staff. Dog friendly.

Pub in Tonbridge High st.
Has a small outside area but it's not that great.
Inside is ok but I felt it lacked atmosphere.
They serve food but I didn't see anyone dining. On offer is fajitas,steak dinners and ploughman's lunches.
Parking: Public car park a few minutes walk away
Kid-friendliness: It doesn't really seem like a pub where children would be taken.

New chef at the chequers Tonbridge great menu food was freshly cooked fresh ingredients,has 3 courses all were delicious would definitely recommend, will be returning soon
