Great service and very helpful!Dealt with Beth initially for viewings etc, very accommodating and up to date on the property and any questions.Then dealt with Amie for pre tenancy documents and processes, again very helpful and prompt replies.Would have no issues using Martin & Co again or recommending others to!

Great and professional help all through the process with arranging the tenancy contract for the apartment we now are renting. An initial issue with missing cleaning at move-in was immediately attended to, and Martin Co. are also quick on replying on issues you communicate and to set-up corresponding action. Thanks.

I tried for 3 days to get a viewing for a property, calling every day and even going into their office. Not once did they call me back. After 4 days I got an email to say the property was no longer available.Absolutely terrible customer service.

Martin & Co look after several properties on my behalf. I like the reassurance of knowing that I do not have to worry about the frequent changes to legislation, about protecting the deposit correctly, issuing the correct paperwork etc. I also like the fact that my rent is fully insured so that if a tenant defaults (touch wood none have so far) that my rent is fully covered. The guys in the office are great and nothing is too much trouble. Happy to recommend.

I have been a landlord with Martin & Co Ashford for over 10 years now. I originally started with one property and a few years later they helped me find a second property to also rent out. During all that time we have had nothing but praise for the way they work. The staff are always friendly and helpful and address any problems really swiftly. The tradespeople they source to do any jobs that need doing all seem to be excellent and reasonably priced and any works are undertaken swiftly and efficiently as soon as I give the go ahead. One house has had the same tenant since we bought it and although the other one has had a few different tenants there have been minimal gaps between them and no rent defaults even through Covid. I would, and do quite often, highly recommend Martin & Co Ashford.

?Martin & Co have managed our portfolio for a number of years, we always feel like we are in safe hands with them and their communication is second to none. We find them to be proactive rather than reactive, which is just what we need for peace of mind. Their routine visit reports are very informative and help us to understand how our tenants are maintaining the property and what we may need to do in the future to keep our properties to a good standard?.

Martin and Co have been my letting agent for years now over two properties. I find them to be very professional and quick to act when there is a problem. When it comes time for a tenancy renewal they are months ahead of the game which allows you more time to negotiate with the landlord about increasing the rent. I have just signed a 2-year tenancy agreement with a property I love and that is managed very well by Martin and Co.

We brought our first flat as an investment in 2011 through Martin & Co and were very pleased to hand over the full management of it to them. They quickly found us a tenant, did all the reference checks necessary and have done so with subsequent tenants. They make regular inspection visits to the property and report to us any issues they feel we should be aware of and carry out 'check-out' inspection on tenant leaving. They promptly handle any repair / maintenance problems that the tenant reports to them and keep us informed of work that needs to be done and likely cost involved, using their network of trusted contractors. They have in place a Rent Guarantee Insurance policy included in their management package, which gives us peace of mind should the tenant fall behind with their rental payments.We purchased a second property through Martin & Co in 2019 and had no hesitation at all in handing over the management of that property to them as well. I cannot speak more highly of Kevin & his team. When my tenant would not move out we had to go to court and due to Covid this took several months. I was without accommodation and the prospect of sofa surfing at the age of 67 was not an alluring one. I met Kevin for the first time at the court hearing and he immediately offered me a place to stay for the three months that it then took to get possession free of charge. Throughout this very challenging time they have been so supportive I really cannot thank them enough.

I was led to believe that Martin & Co were marketing my property for sale. 4 weeks later I find out they aren't and also the person they said they would be jointly selling with the price is different to what I said. Apparently I read 'it is 1% plus VAT' incorrectly - apparently that doesn't mean it is only 1% plus VAT. Plus completely condescending emails and inappropriate emails - quote 'wow, not sure where that has come from' - the start of the email. It has come from you making me believe you were selling my property and told me the incorrect fee! Disgraceful - I have rented my property through Martin & Co for over 15 years and this is the treatment!

To be honest I found them very unhelpful. If there was anything they wanted you to fix or address it had to be dealt with straight away. And they can be very aggressive and rude in their approach. If you go to them with any issue they aren't bothered.Their fees are high and they are all for the landlord, apart from getting the rent paid they couldn't care less about you as a tenant.I personally would rather find another property than rent with them again.
