Good choice of parking spaces for this store. They?ve really made it clear now that parking is receipt scanned. And if you get a fine you can dispute it with parking eye.

Been driving past for years and having recently broken the habit of big store loyalty, I thought I'd try Lidl Ashford, attracted by a compost display outside. (25/05/25 12:53)
I found the isles narrow but adequate and the store was busy as expected with long queues for the checkout. My Son and I enjoyed a delicious jam doughnut each (honestly top notch) before moving on with my new binoculars and compost (13:46), a pleasant enough experience until 9 days later and I receive a parking fine of £90 (548611/803379)
According to the letter, I failed to put my number plate into a machine, (what machine?)
The instructional signage cannot be suitably clear as I'm not the only one this has happened to and obviously has tarnished our experience and Lidl's brand.

Would recommend the Lidl Plus app - a month ago they were giving away free pastries with every purchase, this week it's free fruit (better for our waistlines!). I've won a grapefruit, a mango and a punnet of grapes so far :D
