Huge selection in a very nice, clean store. The store is well presented, with roomscapes designed by professionals. A good choice of materials for all the sofas, as well as a range of sizes and features. The staff are friendly and available. They meander through the store all day, not intrusively, so you can browse at your leisure, but if you have a question, they're happy to step in and answer away.

The sofa sinks in a lot and hurts my back!!
First of all, I must commend DFS staff, they are amazing, but the sofa we got was not a good buy and DFS return policy didn?t help at all.. what happened was that we checked the sofa in store was nice but the sofa we took delivery of after about 3 weeks delay from DFS without apologies was totally different, it as sinking inside when sat on and there were gaps in between the chair composition, we reported within a week of purchase and nothing was done, my advice is when buying sofa from DFS or anywhere.. be aware of the fact that you might not get exactly what you were shown and secondly, if you weigh over 80kg try and look for a solid base sofa? as most of their sofas sinks in badly when you sit on it over time and it would eventually hurt your back.

Purchased a sofa from DFS on the 12th of January 2025. I never thought I would have such a horrible experience with the company. We were given a delivery date for the 11th of February 2025. I got rid of our old sofa oba. Sunday the day before the new sofa meant to be delivered which has never been delivered. I called numerous times on Tuesday and Wednesday to ask where is my sofa and when is it going to be redelivered as I?ve been left with no sofa. The company has called back late Wednesday and said I will have to wait another 3-4 week for the sofa just to be delivered to the warehouse. They had no stock available at the time. Went to the local branch and asked for a refund with no luck at the time. U til I started stating how badly me and my family have been treated then the manager only said that I can have a refund. I have finally got my refund but I will NEVER be visiting DFS again. I have told my fiends and family about the horrible experience which we?ve experienced.

Visited to buy a leather sofa. There was staff about not one came to help after 30 minutes of waiting for assistance we gave up and went elsewhere.

Ended up go elsewhere as went there twice and rather than help with what we were looking for they just kept suggesting something different and when we come back to come back only when when they are working I'm guessing for commission, need to work on people skills

On the 10/08/24 I paid £1,175 for a 2 seater Dylan sofa, I was told it should arrive around the 22/08, it didn't, then the 27/08, no sofa, I got through to the delivery company, and was told it was ready for delivery on the 18/08, but wasn't delivered because there were no other deliveries in my area, it went to another customer, I would have to wait, for other deliveries in my area, to make the journey worth while, a month in their bank, I got a refund, no interest or compensation, I will never use DFS again.....

I am really upset by the way my sofa and chair have arrived. Marks all over it and gatherings not matching. I paid a hefty deposit and delivery drivers not added all parts.

I have really bad experience with this dfs store managers . I bought a sofa in February. I have paid £5000 cash to this store for sofa and I thought is gonna be all ok
waiting 16 weeks for sofa to arrive finally sofa arrived after 16 weeks weeks seriously damaged , I contacted management, give them all details pictures and everything was needed I asked them for full refund there didn?t offer it to me at I was told that they will replace the defects part for whole sofa .Since that time already past five months and nothing is happening. No one was here to check the sofa whatsoever I keep going to store chasing up the management they keep saying not long now you should recive parts soon till today nothing happened I asked them that I want my money back the refusing to offer me money back I don?t know wath to do next I think i will get the company to court seriously very bad customer service . Also now the sofa feeling apart Also with the quality is really bad. People are working really hard for £5000 it?s really unfair the company doesn?t care about the customers I am seriously not recommending you to personalise anything from these people just don?t want you to go through all this is what I just experience seriously really bad I wish I never purchase anything from this company ??

Best thing I can say is avoid DFS. Sitting on the floor is better. Most of the staff are very nice but once you purchase the problems begin. We bought a Gray sofa (please check facebook 50 shades of gray/brown) it arrived but it was brown. As luck would have it we went back to the store (because after many heated calls we were told it is what we had ordered) we found the colour name, pewter, had been crossed out and replaced with pepper. Also silver had been changed. I took photos. and went to the ombudsman and eventually got the full amount returned to put on another sofa. Now, I decided white leather, can't get that wrong! We bought the vixon 2 and 4 seater, within a few short weeks we had dye transfer that we could not remove, flaking leather coming away the seating on the 4 seater was crushed flat and the protective feet were falling off. When the engineer from Guardsman came (we had taken the protect insurance) he said "sit in the middle of the seat not at the edge" The other encounter I had was when I told them it was not fit for purpose She said "can you sit on it then it is fit for purpose. I did say I can sit on the floor but I don't call it a chair. Guardsman offered to recover the parts that had the most dye transfer. Very long story short. I had bought them on credit card the Halifax were brilliant, I paid for an independent report £325 well worth it, they found 21 faults with both sofas including that the leather had not been sealed. Got full refund from the credit card including all the extras. Guardsman work for DFS so don;t expect them to help. They tell you they are independent but they are not. I emailed the CEO but he got someone else to fob me off.We found a lovely independent store in Dover Kent do give the a try. Shame on you DFS so many customers are are suffering.

Freddie was extremely helpful and gave us such good advice on what would be perfect for us! He is very genuine and knowledgable. Would 100% recommend if you ever need advice on your next sofa. :)
