This new Costa at St James Centre Dover, is amazing, it's has a great lay out so guaranteed a seating area. Specials are lovely however the prices are getting more and more expensive with people now getting there own coffee machines and milk frothers at home it would make sense if they keep their prices competitive.

Some nice staff, the service is rather slow though and the opening times are extremely unreliable. I?ve come by 3/4 times and it?s been closed early for various reasons.

That?s a huge joke. Almost every day it?s closed earlier so we coming to buy a coffee and we kissing a closed doors. Don?t go there. Is a waste of time ??

I meet a friend here every couple of weeks after work for a catch up.
Tonight while I am waiting to order the lovely lady behind the counter made my usual coffee before I had even placed an order and paid as she saw me in the line waiting.
I am a creature of habit and always order the same drink, and she recognised me.
Just so delighted this happened, amazing customer service right there!

The manger with glasses ,16/6/24, was a very hard worker whilst it was extremely busy. She should be proud of her work ethnic. Can't say the same for the bloke tho.

We used this Costa when shopping at this retail park. The staff are so slow and laborious it's a must go to for us,each time, to see if they can put in a slower performance than the time before. Never in any coffee outlet have I witnessed 4 staff behind a counter be that slow?
The adage " pay peanuts,get monkeys" doesn't come close!!

Waited ages in line...... with what looked like slow couldn't be bothered staff on duty to be told they dont have the new white chocolate whipped ice latte coz there machine not working. Like what's the point in advising new stuff if u can't have it ... stupid then then walk out to see other people drinking iced whipped drinks out side like if u couldnt be bother to make it just say .. abit like macdonalds cream machine .

Dreadfully slow service!

The staff here is the most arrogant and careless staff.
They never get the order right, are always too busy talking to each other.
This is the 6th time I have ordered a drink from this branch and have asked for NO cream and every single time they ignore the request and add lots of cream.
They always talk about you and giggle and work so incredibly slowly
I wonder if they have a manager who cares but the service is just appalling. Below standard at best

I?m not one to leave reviews at all but what the hell is up with the slow service down to poor management micro managing one person to a queue of 10 while other mill around in the background. Two times in a row now I?ve been also and have ran out of oat milk. Absolutely piss poor.

Love this costa and don?t like to complain but this morning I just felt so sorry for the poor girl behind the counter. She was left on her own with the queue never less than 7 deep. You could see she was doing everything she could to keep going and this review is nothing to do with her service, if anything she was a 6*. This is to do with the way the place is run and not looking after their staff wellbeing. Please look into this
