Let us down twice on delivery dates promised we incurred hire costs don't have these issues when ordering from other companies customer service is not fit for purpose.

About as much use as a chocolate teapot. Purchased something at the end of March. Not sure if I ever received a receipt but as item has now gone faulty. Repair company requires a receipt but B&Q will not print a copy. So in my opinion don't buy from them, as if it goes wrong they are no help

Avoid this store if you want to feel like a criminal walking around browsing. We are currently doing a house renovation and have been in multiple times last couple of months and have probably spent over £500 on items! But every time we go in there the security guard will follow you around as if you are a criminal even though you are not doing anything wrong! Rather go to wickes where I can browse and not feel like a criminal !! For this reason I will not be returning if this is how your security team treat genuine customers

The absolute worst customer service in this branch. Stroppy rude staff at the checkout. The lady on the till was so rude to the elderly person in front of me rolling her eyes and puffing because he obviously wasn?t quick enough for her getting his card out of his wallet or so I thought until she served me no hello or anything no chit chat whilst transacting and then just barked receipt at me. She is utterly disgraceful and embarrassment to your company then man on the other toll was t any better with his attitude

Total failure, I do not recommend it at all. The worst customer service I have dealt with in 20 years in the UK. I do not recommend ordering expensive items from this store. I suggest using Wix, Homebase, or The Range instead. I will avoid this store. After ordering a jet wash, I didn?t receive the jet wash, and instead, after 4 days of waiting, I got a lawnmower. Still nothing has been resolved. I do not recommend this store, stay away from it

Over a week ago, I ordered plasterboard and timbers for the construction site. The delivery was supposed to arrive on Friday. We waited on-site for the materials. Around 2 PM, I received a message: "The plasterboards and timbers will be delivered on Monday." A wasted day.
On Monday, I got another message: "The delivery will be on Wednesday." Another day of waiting on-site and another wasted day.
On Tuesday, yet another call: the delivery was moved to Friday.
We don?t want to risk further losses, so we canceled the order. Let?s choose a more reliable partner.

I usually place orders with click and collect which tends to be pretty smooth. I?ve found the quality of their own brand stuff has declined over the years, but I think that?s true of most of the big players.

I'm extremely disappointed. I purchased a bed and was advised to buy a mattress that would fit it. After spending all day assembling the bed, I discovered that the mattress is too large! This is unacceptable service to recommend a mattress that doesn't fit. When I called for assistance, I was told to wait for the supplier to arrange a collection.

Nice big store. Plenty of choice. Helpful staff member for a change! Would be nice if there was a plan up to find stuff or a computer you could input the item you want and where to find it. Never seems very busy in there.

A couple of days ago my partner bought me a cactus from B&Q. My partner is colourblind and didn't realise there's a yellow line going around the bottom. It's not a healthy cactus. So he went back to swap it and was told we couldn't do that because its a perishable item. But it wasn't dead, it was sick from the date of purchase. On the receipt returns policy states, "we're unable to offer refunds or to exchange products that have been cut to size, made to measure or mixed to your individual requirements" also "if the product you bought is faulty or not as described, we may offer an exchange, refund or repair as appropriate... So we should've been allowed to exchange it.
We have spent thousands in B&Q over the years, but since we can't swap a cactus worth £3 we won't be returning.
Also their broccoli seeds turned out to be swede. Months of my time and effort wasted. But of course, they can't do anything about that either.

Went in their today to purchase some tarmac and was very impressed by the customer service I received from maggie who is an absolute legend and a man at the trade point centre who was just really polite and helpful. would of scored a 5/5 but the plants really needed a water.

Large store offering a wide variety of DIY products, unfortunately today a lot of the range has left the store but can be ordered on line. Site offers plenty of parking.
Has trade sales too.
