Nice place to visit on a relaxing afternoon for a couple of pints with some friends. Sit outside on a warm day, where the sun beats down on the front of the pub.
The atmosphere is relaxed with no one in a mad rush.
The landlord is a nice chap. Very friendly, and rather funny and quick witted.
I had a prawn cocktail and some chunky chips, both of which were simple but tasty.
Drinks are expensive but you can't have it all.

A first visit to this pub for a family lunch, 8 of us. A few changes had to be made to our order for items running out. A pleasant country pub, with a free public car park just across the road.

Used to be my local 20/25 years ago. Still a great pub, excellent food and friendly service. Nice part of the village. Good value. Will definitely be coming back!

Stayed in appledore for 7 days and for six of them we choose to eat at this amazing place,worked our way through the menu and everyday was an amazing experience,and the Sunday roast was the cherry on the cake!! Staff were all super friendly and can?t wait to be back in the area again

A wonderful find in the beautiful village of Appledoor. Well worth seeking out of a summer lunch outside or a cosy dinner by the huge fireplace.

Fantastic food and service, can't be happier after our visit today , pud looks and feels amazing, really friendly staff and dog friendly which was fantastic for our groups 3 dogs. Will certainly be back.

We stopped here for a light lunch (pure chance) what a real gem. Friendly, efficient ladies served us & the food was so beautifully prepared & presented! Large portions & every detail was good!
Ladies restrooms were spotless; Moulton brown soap & hand cream, extra touches like hairspray & hygiene products & proper luxury toilet rolls! We will return when next we head to Kent!!
A rare & pleasant surprise when so many pubs are closing & good catering staff are hard to find!!

We had a table booked for 16 plus people today. I have to say this was the best roast I have ever had the food was amazing fast and the service was great I would 100 percent recommend this to others and will definitely go back thank you.

I came on a Tuesday for pizza night with my fiance and had a pizza and a glass of wine for £12. The pizza tasted incredible and there was a great selection of wines to choose from.
The staff were friendly and very attentive and the pub had a warm and welcoming atmosphere.
Highly recommended!
