Friendly pub with nice garden

We went for a pub lunch on Sunday afternoon around 3pm and were so impressed. The new owners, who are absolutely lovely, are doing a fantastic job and it?s great to have another welcoming option in Smeeth. On Sundays they even have a bouncy castle, which makes it perfect for families and gives parents a chance to relax and enjoy a drink in peace.

The new owners are extremely polite, professional and very welcoming... we stayed for a 2 course lunch and the food was of the highest quality, great tasting and brought out extremely quick, everything was homemade, which was extremely appreciated!
The restaurant is very clean and well presented with a massive garden that has crazy golf and a children's climbing frame and a large seating area... we will be returning often and highly recommended for anyone want excellent food at reasonable prices.

Turned up on a Sunday to celebrate a birthday not open, perhaps they need to update opening hours on Google. Very disappointed I won't be returning

Lovely friendly little family pub also dog friendly. Plenty space for children to run around outside. They have a little crazy golf, football and goals for kids playing football with a small climbing frame. They had 3 singers over 3 Easter days with Easter Egg hunts for children. Very friendly landlord.

Really nice pub, cosy atmosphere with the log fireplace.
At the back in the beer garden is a mini golf course! Plenty of parking and seats.
As someone not from the village it has a really welcoming atmosphere and reasonably priced for a northerner such as myself!
Really recommend if you?re local or passing through! Great for kids with the garden, mini golf and outdoor play area

Not against kids as I have three of my own, but the pub is an unofficial crèche, from mothers sitting at the bar with newborns to kids making dens the corner, running around all over the place coughing and spluttering whilst the parent(s) do not comment on their behaviour, there is no where to sit either, only stayed for one drink.
Tables are sticky and unclean.
No wonder it?s empty?..
Avoid at all costs.

Went on quiz night and had something to eat there as well .
Menu was quite simple , sensible as there was a quiz , we both had scampi and chips ( £12 ) good value and quite tasty .
The friend I went with is in a quiz team there so we joined and won the quiz which was nice . Found the quiz enjoyable .
It was a little on the warm side in the pub but over all had a good night .
