Staff were miserable. Food was expensive and bland. Drinks were overpriced. Will not be back, totally different vibe to previous experience.

Food is ok but it is nothing to shout about. The view is thd best part if you manage to get a table by a window. On the other hand the staff seem very stuck up, rude and like you are something beneath them. It is a huge put off. Maybe they live up to the name of the cafe.....who knows.

Went for breakfast so can only comment on that.
Ordered Harbour breakfast consisting of 2 rashers, 1 sausage 1 fried egg 1 pot of beans.
Bacon tasteless, sausage luke warm but tasty, egg tasteless, beans ok. Also had a pot of tea which was not to my liking.
We also ordered smoked salmon and scrambled eggs and again eggs not seasoned .and tasteless and salmon of low quality. Disappointed.
Service was however good.

Brilliant place to eat, it does get very busy at times but always very helpful, make sure you know what your ordering before getting to till it helps keeps the queues moving.

The Gossips Cafe looks very nice inside and out, with a large menu of tasty and interesting sandwich options. However I do have to say the customer service I have experienced twice now leaves much to be desired.
The cashier lady seemed very grumpy when I made my order and payed for my food and it even seemed like I was being an inconvenience to her.
Secondly when I asked if I could have a second cup with my pot of tea, I was blunty told that they do not give second cups to customers...
Thirdly when the sandwich I ordered arrived it came on a plate with no salad, no crisps added which a lot of Cafés normally do add. Also the particular girl who brought my food to me also looked miserable as if she didn't want to be there.
I do also have to add that the whole atmosphere in The Gossips Cafe seemed rather quiet and subdued. It's a shame that I experienced this as The Gossips Cafe does look like it has so much to offer.
