Popped in here for a drink and sat outside on the street in the sunshine, enjoying the ambience. This is a friendly pub with good ales, and a nice feel about it. The menu looks good and reasonably priced. I would definitely return when I'm in the area again.

Unfortunately I had a terrible experience at the Townhouse today. 4 persons, myself my husband and two friends
The serving team were non attentive slow clumsy and frankly clueless. Spilling my coffee into the saucer and not offering assistance. I had the club sandwich but in a wrap. The chicken and bacon were overcooked. Almost as if precooked then heated up inadequately. My husband had the toasted sandwich again he asked for added bacon which was overcooked. Cheese not melted at all. My friends had fish and chips. Several weeks earlier that had fish and chips which they enjoyed not so on this occasion. It's very disappointing.

Lovely lunch, bar service very friendly and efficient. Food was great and plenty of it. Good beers too.
Dietary restrictions: Good gluten free selections even in the kids menu!! GF bread was very good.

Amazing establishment.
Food was so delicious and piping hot. Latte was one of the best I've ever had. Staff were very inviting and attentive. Amazing. Would recommend to anyone wanting a character filled pub with homemade qualities. Perfect evening. Thanks Townhouse!

We had a lovely experience at this pub. Food is reasonably priced and delicious. It has a fireplace, dogs are welcome, and has a great atmosphere. Definitely worth a visit.

We were welcomed in a friendly professional smiling manner. It was warm and inviting. We did not have to wait long for our delicious hot coffee and large glasses of water.
The fish and chips arrived promptly, generous helping for ?small?, not that we minded! It was piping hot and really tasty, lovely fat crispy chips and nice fish, with a choice of mushy peas or fresh peas. Reasonably priced, we?ll be back
