We booked months in advance because we have a person in the family who has trouble getting about, we booked a walk in shower, we rang the hotel twice to check of it was still ok and was told yes. On arrival we were put on the forth floor and when we got to our room we realised the room had a bath. We didnt like to complain as the hotel looked busy and we didnt want to be moved away from our other family members next door. All week the disabled person had to use wet wipes to wash and it wasnt ideal. Breakfast was ok, bit chaotic because of the coach trips. Hotel room was very outdated, toilet was leaky around the edge. View was ok. Hairdryer needs updating, gets very hot and burns if you try to put it on a fast speed. Bar was lovely, drinks are a good price, staff friendly. Top floor window doesnt really open much, and it got very hot becauses theres no air con, although you do get a fan.

My boyfriend and I stayed in Trouville Sandown for two nights. We booked the room here for the seaview.
View is amazing and hotel is conveniently located just a step behind the Sandown beach. Parking is by luck, with the public pay-and-display outside the hotel. It is generally easy to find a parking at night. It costs £2 to park from 6pm to 10am.
We were arranged to a room on the top floor. It is a bit disappointing that the view was partially blocked by a handrail bar outside the windows. The water pressure for the shower was very low throughout the day and we struggled a bit. The room and toilet are a bit tired and dated. One minor point was the few down and up steps on the top floor from the lift to the room- could be a struggle for heavy and big luggages. For the price we paid (£190 for two nights), I feel this is slightly overpriced.

Isle of Wight did not disappoint in any way. Hotel in superb location on the seafront.Food and service excellent. On arrival our luggage was taken from coach to our room. Tea/coffee supplied on arriving and key to room provided. All done with ease. Our waiter for the week Marek gave us his charming personality and professional the service was exemplary. I would recommend for a lovely holiday and would most definitely stay again.

This hotel only just reaches a 2-star review from me. I have too many complaints that shouldn't have even been an issue. Before I get into that, I'd like to mention that Laura (waitress in the restaurant) and Chloe & Kieran (bartenders) were so lovely to us and made our stay a bit better. There is also a stunning view of the pier and sea - Sandown in general is just a beautiful place. Now to the bad stuff - I'll start by saying that most of the staff are not nice and are very pushy. There was a lack of room service, despite requesting it most mornings - I stayed for 5 days and received room service once. Full-time service at the bar is not provided; no one is ever there and you have to wait a long time before someone eventually shows up. My longest wait was 30 minutes, just for a diet coke. The menu for dinner was very small, with only 3-4 options offered for each course (starter main, etc). I ate from a kids menu (as a 16yr old) and was still almost charged as an adult? My door lock broke half way through my stay and they refused to fix it instantly. I had to wait a couple of nights with the risk of people able to come in to my room freely - I put a chair behind the door for increased safety but even that wasn't tall enough to reach the door handle. In our room bill, they tried to charge us an additional £200 for things we'd already paid for, and it took them an entire day to correct it. They have sanitisers all over the hotel which is good and they say to use it liberally and frequently, yet it was never full. There was a technical issue with the lift meaning that it could only take 3 people at a time, so if there were more than 3 people waiting, we would have to wait an extra time or take the stairs. The lift was also a really tight space, and that's bad considering most customers here were elderly with wheelchairs or walking frames. I also overheard that a customer was severely injured due to damages in their bathroom, and the staff were very casual about it and didn't seem to even care. In my room, there was a TV but it had no guide and the channels kept crashing which meant that I had to retune it multiple times. I'd also like to correct the amenities that are listed. Parking is not free unless you want to make a 10-minute walk, and I'm not even sure if that is free. Front desk is running 24-hours however no one is ever there and you have to ring a bell. Even then, sometimes they won't even show up. I've been dying to make this review as I stayed for 5 days so these were all constant issues. My advice to others is to just book the Premier Inn next door as I wish that's what I did. Trouville, please sort this out. Urgently.

Tired and worn. The hotel not me.
2?just about.
Upgrades needed everywhere.
Looks like nothing has been done in so many years. Looks like existing decor from 1970's. All Windows throughout place not been cleaned for ages couldn't even take photo to outside from room without opening window to have a clear vision. Mattress sunk pillows too.

Brilliant sea view location. Room comfortable but had very noisy neighbours due to thin walls and creaky ceiling. Food excellent with prompt service from friendly staff Compliments to the Chef and kitchen staff too.

Very old hotel. Small rooms, no shampoo and body wash. One lift for a maximum 3 persons. Not very welcoming. Much more better value next door in Premier Inn. Nice view
