When you finally get down to the restaurant / cafe the views are to die for but the road down is horrific and you will need to be careful not to damage your car on the way down.We ordered bao buns and some small plates as we wanted to try variety, don?t order anymore than 3 small plates between two after bao buns as you won?t eat it all.Our bao buns tasted sensational with some being Korean pork and the others being soft shell crab.We also enjoyed a jug of freshly made pimms which had the most incredible flavour with lots of lovely fresh fruit too.The only reason I have not given 5 stars is due to the approach, the rest of the experience was really enjoyable for the money.

WE found this bit of paradise purely by accident; took a right instead of the intended left.OMG what a delightful result; the welcome by Kelly and Shane to this piece of heaven was like stepping into the warmth of your family home and the FOOD! my word, it was bordering on ambrosia, the food of the gods. No need for salt or pepper as the food was excellently seasoned by chef. There is plenty of choice on the menu to suit every taste, with imaginative culinary delights that tease the taste buds. All in all, a place that should be on everyone's bucket list, a place that we'll visit again - hopefully before the season's end. Moya and Dave.

A wonderful location overlooking the sea. The staff were friendly, attentive and efficient. The food was first class, well presented and served hot. The menu is excellent and the steak was to die for. A great experience. Richard

Very enjoyable experience. Perched on a cliff top with magnificent views. It was very windy but staff were quick to offer a warm wrap for the ladies comfort. Food was excellent and service was lovely. We hope to return there on our next visit to IOW

Whilst this beach cafe is in a lovely location and has a promising menu, it seems to be suffering from the illusion it is a Michelin starred silver service restaurant, and is neglecting passing trade. Front of house staff treated us like we were second class citizens and refused to seat us and provide us with any food. Despite her insistence they were fully booked, every table except for two were empty. Given that we only wanted drinks and snacks we were not going to be long this was surprising. I also heard her berate the group in front of us for booking that they had a dog with them and not bringing one. Instead of wait on the deckchairs like naughty school kids dressed in wellies rather than the latest finery, we ditched it in favour of the pub up the road, which was lovely. And I suggest you do the same.

It wasn?t at all what I expected. I?m not sure calling it a cafe is quite right because I had hoped for something like a crab sandwich. However, what I got was fantastic. We ordered the poke special with scallops and soft shell crab, and a monk dog special - monkfish tempura in a bun with slaw, fries and chili jam. Everything was faultless from the welcome to the service and the view. We walked hesitantly for ten minutes wondering if we were going in the right direction because there?s minimal signage but the reward at the end was worthwhile.

A hidden gem. The location is unique and glorious. The service was friendly and efficient. The food was outstanding Things to take into account. It is a hidden gem with a small car park so most people walk down the road or a small steep path. You ca drive down a rough lane and drop people off then walk down yourself. We had a wonderful meal with breath taking views across the channel. Unless something changes we will go back again and again

We only stopped for a drink, but menu looked nice and the views across the sea and coast are stunning.

We stopped here for dinner before catching the ferry back to Portsmouth. Unfortunately, we were a little rushed because of being delayed by a party of school children at the Needles. However, the staff were excellent and ensured our order was prompt. The food was delicious and well worth the effort of the drive down. We had the catch of the day, trout, and two extremely nice desserts. A quality, al fresco experience

Lovely location, with great views on a summer's evening. Quite a steep walk down to site (& uphill back!). More of a restaurant than a cafe. Food not our usual fare - vegetarian (?), poke etc. but mstly tasty. Only serve oak milk for hot drinks.

This is not a beach cafe, nor is it a retreat. Waited to be seated (there were loads of tables) but when said we just wanted a drink we were told to sit on any picnic bench rather than the 'proper' tables. Indifferent espresso and a nice beer. Don't go down expecting a beach cafe, it's not. It's trying to be a foodie destination but in doing so is making those other paying customers who aren't eating feel like 2nd class citizens. Wouldn't return or recommend.
