Omg! How can a hotel in 2025 not have AC! Our recent stay was during the ongoing heatwave and the rooms were boiling! Tiny window and a small fan blowing hot air around, very uncomfortable indeed! Rooms are tired and unbranded Tvs in the room which aren't smart! Stayed in premier inn before many times and this has to be my worst stay ever!

Decor was tired, room was dark, incredibly warm, no air conditioning, fan provided but was useless. Pillows were hard and mould in the bathroom. Quite disappointed for the price.

Staff could be better informed regarding bus timetables and getting around.
The rooms are excellent and the beds to die for.

The rooms don?t have any air conditioning. They supply a fan but it?s not enough to cool a family of 4 and it?s bolted to the wall about as far away from the beds as possible. The lack of AC makes this a very expensive stay. Receptionist couldn?t care less. Wish I?d had seen all the similar reviews before booking as would have avoided. Won?t be back.

Great location, free parking, Beefeater next to it for breakfast, drinks etc.
Rooms are nice and clean.
No A/C which is not good if you are visiting during the summer

We have stayed it this Premier Inn many times now, with family or just as a couple.
It's a great location for visiting the island, right upon the Quay side & within an easy walk to the centre of Newport for exploring, shopping, dining out or just coffee or a pint.
Just along the Quay is The Bargemans Rest which is great for dining or a few cold beers, wine, etc, plus they do serve far better food than the pub attached to the Premier Inn.
We received a very warm welcome by the hotel staff, as we arrived tired from our journey, we checked in & entered our room which was clean & most comfortable during our stay. We were wished a safe journey & enjoy your day as we checked out, the team here are so pleasant, it just makes you want to return again & we will real soon.
A big Thank for making our stay all that more better.

Don't rely on the pub next door, turned up tonight on a bank holiday saturday to find out it closed at 10 p.m. Rubbish, and this is meant to be a holiday island, no wonder it's dying !!!

Been here a few times now and staff a actually generally friendly and genuine, room need updating as do all premier inns but this is one of the better ones definitely.
