Booked into here by the garage I bought my car from for a diagnostics test. Within an hour I was called to say it had all been done and the system was reset and nothing major found.2 days later engine fault light came on again, spoke to garage I bought car from and they informed me that Halfords had told them they hadn't done a full diagnostics and that they'd told me to go to Saddlestones! Utter liars. Totally fobbed off by what I thought was a reputable company. Avoid them they lie.Still waiting for an email copy of the so called test they completed.

Avoid - taking money for nothing.Paid for major service - oil service, filters etc.Apart visual car check - nothing hasn't been done.Oil - they not bothered to even top up so would look better. Service indicator - not reset, air filter - they didn't take cover off to check it.Major service and only check was done on tyres, brakes and suspension .Disgraceful

Don?t usually leave reviews but I feel like this is a must. Had a full service done on my car a couple of days ago, had good hopes with Halfords as have had a positive experience in the main store whenever I needed help with something car related, they recommended going to the garage for a full service. When I went to drive my car to work the following morning the smell of fumes was horrendous the car wouldn?t move off properly and sounded so loud, I managed to get to work but was unable to drive home. I had to call a mobile mechanic to get me back on the road, that told me Halfords' didn?t put half the stuff back together, the spark plugs weren?t even connected or fitted back properly and that overall they did a poor job, didn?t check certain things that should of been checked with a full service. I was left without a car for 2 days which is frustrating. I am disappointed with the service I received won?t be recommending anyone to go there.

AVOID AT ALL COST !Paid for a major service. And came back home with a broken car. Dent in the left wing. Flat tire. Coolant dripping. Oil all over the engine.On top of that my car is telling me is missing 1.5 l of oil. While waiting for the car to be ready I saw the ?mechanic? who was dealing with my car putting some dark oil back. When I confronted them they laughed and told me that?s the colour.Tomorrow I?m taking my car to Elite Garages. I?m 100% sure these guys just stole all the filters and oil they were suppose to replace and left me with the old ones.When I confirm that I will be asking for a formal investigation, if they did this to my car this most likely is a common practice with this garage for other cars as well.Service: Brake service & repair

Not great by a long shot. Fuel pump died after we drove off the ferry on holiday. Our recovery firm delivered us to Halfords who said they'd phone with any update. I had to phone them every day to find out what was going on though. They said we were lucky not to have died because the fuel pump had burnt out and that the fuel sender had gone too. We knew the sender was dicky anyway because it only worked below half a tank and because they said it was essential to replace that too, we agreed. They couldn't source the parts from their supplier during the time we were on the island so we spent the week catching buses and then had to come back again the following weekend to collect the car once the parts had been fitted. I'd asked them to keep the parts they removed so I could see what had happened and surprise, surprise, there was no melting, blackening, or anything else that could have suggested a fire risk. I don't mind having the parts replaced because they were faulty but only one of them was essential and that wasn't the one that was out of stock, so we were essentially deprived the use of our car so they could get a bonus.
