So i ordered a takeaway right at the end of delivery service which i usually try to avoid due to if there being any issues with the order, then there's nothing you can do about it, however working on a nightshift, i bit the bullet and indulged.
Dragon City follows the usual negative culprits that all chinese takeaways do on the island which is why it's not a 5 star rating, expensive, not open as late as it should be compared to mainland businesses, not being proper chinese food quality and it being the british version of it all etc... HOWEVER,
The food was honestly the best that i've had on the island from any chinese takeaway establishment. The taste was lovely and the quality good, the staff including the delivery driver was nice and i'll definitely be coming back again. The food portion sizes were great and you could easily tell that whomever prepared my meal, did it properly and with care.
The only downside to this establishment in particular would be the lack of Asian beer. They only sell the usual European soft drinks, coke etc, whereas other Chinese takeaways on the island will sell asian lager like tiger beer, thai beer etc...

The best Chinese takeaway in Newport, always fresh tasting ingredients and no MSG, always my first choice tastes authentic not like some others and a calendar as well !

Absolutely gorgeous food , best Chinese in years , have had a mix of different meals from here and all have been great , favourite is the mixed meat curry and salt and pepper chips . Highly recommend.

First time I ordered from Dragon City I thought I would give them a try and see what they were like ,I was not disappointed the food was piping hot and absolutely delicious to eat !! the delivery guy was very friendly will definitely order from these again, rather than any others in Newport 5*

Nice Chinese, we had the salt and pepper chips, salt and pepper chicken, young chow fried rice, BBQ sauce, and the mixed starter platter and some prawn crackers The mixed starter was good the bbq ribs, chicken satays & seaweed & prawn toast.The young chow fired rice was nice, a little dry for my liking but found the BBC sauce a bit sour but it accompanied the rice nice.The salt and pepper chicken and chips was decent.The Chinese was really nice and would go again if we visit the isle of wight in the future.
