My Mum and Dad have the same order every Friday night. Dad phones it through at 5pm and pops down the road to pick it up. Lisa always looks after them. Every week makes Dad a regular customer. He's 84 and that's why I am writing this review for him. Lisa, Neil thinks ? that you are wonderful ??

When we were over at Freshwater we decided to grab some dinner. The service was quick, the place clean and tidy and the staff friendly. What a shame that the food was awful! I should have spotted the bowls of pre cooked chips on the side. When our food arrived it was dry, tough and tasteless! How can anyone not cook chips properly? Reading the reviews on here, I?m not the only one who thinks so. Maybe time for a rethink!

Phone order over. Went to collect nearly closing Tim's 7pm. What a disappointment when I got home chips were cold dark brown. fish was covered in apology batter also cold the rest of the order was pretty much the same.i don't the cooking is done separately the pea fritter tasted really bad. What bothered me most was seeing 2 large bowls of partly cooked chips sitting uncovered on the back counter I hope they did not sit there until the next day .worse takeaway I have ever had basically due to lazy cooking practice's. What a waste of £20 .You won't see me again. I am amazed that this business has 4 stars. And that the staff are happy to serve food like this for there customers you should be ashamed of yourselves

The chips were quick to cook, might of been a slow lunch, possibly as there were pots of cooked chips on the back which were, erm..., finished off as required. The rest of the food wasn't great either. The food was edible just, some of us like thrice fried chips lol. I cannot for the life of me understand how this place gets an average of 4 stars so I could well of gone on a bad day. So, even if it was good, it's overpriced and the portions are small.

Been in freshwater 4years.decided to try the rainbow chip shop. Got some large chips.they were the worst chips I've had.they looked like they were left over and recooked from dinner time.

The worst fish and chips I have ever eaten the batter on the fish was so bad my dog wouldn?t eat it ? think they need lessons in how to cook fish in batter , they charged me £18.50 for a meal I had to throw away , so do not go here !!

My family have enjoyed fish and chips from Rainbow for the past three years and have always found them to be wonderful and tasty crisp and fresh. Staff are great and shop is spotless.We like the telephone ordering,which means waiting is at a minimum.thankyou rainbow

Hey guys. We really want to be able to support our local fish bar, but the over pre-cooking and reheating of your chips is really ruining the experience. Please change this practice to improve the food experience for customers. Fresher rather than reheated far better!
